CFD130 Posted February 2, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2014 I hope I didn't make a mistake. I booked one night at the Sheraton- I have a beach tower room. The reviews are so up and down. Any thoughts from those who have stayed

lovescarborough Posted February 4, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 4, 2014 We have stayed here several times the last being just a month ago. It is clean and basic but a great location by the beach and lots of bars and restaurants nearby. We got a room in the south tower last time and it was by far the best room we've had here. I joined the Sheraton loyalty scheme just before we left home and it seemed to help us get a better room. Just try being extra nice and smiley to the reception staff . If worked for us. The breakfast here is good too and a taxi to the port only cost us $15 inc a tip.

ricktwo Posted February 6, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 6, 2014 It is a good property - I'm an SPG loyalist and while I may not call it one of their best, it is their best mid-level property on Ft Laud beach.
FoxyTerrier Posted May 28, 2014 #6 Share Posted May 28, 2014 Just booked this for my son's pre-honeymoon cruise. I booked an express deal on Priceline for $103. Seems like a great hotel on the beach for one night.
eandj Posted May 28, 2014 #7 Share Posted May 28, 2014 (edited) We don't particularly like this hotel. You really have to be careful to book rooms in a better category or you can get stuck in one that has nothing as far as view, furnishings, location etc. ugh Priceline will get you in one of these basic rooms. We weren't impressed with any facets of the hotel. It's too chopped up. Even the location isn't what I would say near lots of places to eat. Well, we do enjoy Bahia Cabana for a casual meal, which is just a couple locks down. We would choose the tower rooms at Bahia Mar over Sheraton. But that's just our opinion. For one night it won't hurt. Edited May 28, 2014 by eandj
