Baded Posted February 9, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 9, 2014 Does anyone know what/where is the muster station for suites on the 17th deck on the Allure?
Desert Cruizers Posted February 9, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 9, 2014 (edited) When you arrive in your cabin, look on the back of your door, all muster stations are located there.. It will tell you which Deck or area of the ship you will report to, as you leave your cabin for Muster the crew will be there directing everyone to their proper locations. Baded Posted February 9, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted February 9, 2014 Thanks, I've been on a few ships I know that, but did you know it's also on your sea pass card. Did you really think I didn't know that, I was asking if anyone could tell me, just wondering!
sweetgirl26 Posted February 9, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 9, 2014 On the Oasis deck 17 suites- we had G1 for our muster station- not sure if it is the same for the Allure. Probably?
ehfl Posted February 9, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 9, 2014 Exactly! It's on your SeaPass card, and on the back of the door, so there is no need to get all worked up about knowing ahead of time. You just have to show up at the proper time, and you will know where to go. If you have problems finding your station, there will be people to direct you there. Some new cruisers think this is a big issues, but it looks like you have some experience, and will have no problems locating the correct location. Baded Posted February 9, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted February 9, 2014 Just curious, just wondering where it is, didn't know it would be such a big deal. I've seen that some stations are the theater and some are a lounge. If you can't be nice why bother?

negc Posted February 9, 2014 #8 Share Posted February 9, 2014 Thanks, I've been on a few ships I know that, but did you know it's also on your sea pass card. Did you really think I didn't know that, I was asking if anyone could tell me, just wondering! The difference is that your sea pass card tells you only the number of your muster station not its location. The info card on the back of your stateroom door shows the location and a route to that station from your stateroom. Not sure about the Allure but on some ships, different suites have different muster stations, some of which are outside while others are in a public room. setsail Posted February 9, 2014 #9 Share Posted February 9, 2014 (edited) The muster stations are on deck 5 for all cabins. The drills will be held in various places. Edited February 9, 2014 by setsail

Rare NorbertsNiece Posted February 9, 2014 #11 Share Posted February 9, 2014 Thanks for asking the question OP. I didn't even know there were rooms up there! From experience muster stations can be all over the place, not just on open deck..... sorry you got flamed.... totally unnecessary.
nolesrule Posted February 9, 2014 #12 Share Posted February 9, 2014 I don't have experience with Oasis class, but usually your muster station depends where on the ship your cabin is located on the deck plan. It has nothing to do with cabin category. On cruises we've been on, we shared a muster station with the cabins that were above/below us.
papaflamingo Posted February 9, 2014 #13 Share Posted February 9, 2014 (edited) Kinda got a bit "snarky." Come on folks... lighten up. We were in a Crown Loft on Oasis and our muster station was, I believe, in the Main Dining Room. Edited February 9, 2014 by papaflamingo

long pond cruiser Posted February 9, 2014 #15 Share Posted February 9, 2014 I was wondering the same, Baded. My sister is on Deck 8 and is traveling alone and was wondering if my DH and I who are also on deck 17 with you, would be joining her in the Aqua theater for muster. I searched the boards yesterday, but couldn't find an answer for our particular cabin number.

It's highly probably that your sister will NOT be assigned to the same muster station or life boat for that matter. Muster stations are generally assigned by zone location taking into account the number of life boats for that zone along with the capacity of each life boats . So it's most likely that your sister will not be assigned to the same muster station since she is on deck 8 and your on deck 17. Ken at the beach Posted February 9, 2014 #20 Share Posted February 9, 2014 The muster stations are on deck 5 for all cabins. The drills will be held in various places. The lifeboats are on deck 5. Your muster station IS where you go for the drill. In the event of an emergency you would go to your muster station even if it was in a theatre or dining room and at the appropriate time the crew would escort you to the proper lifeboat. Sheesh! The Captain is the guy driving the ship. The Pool is on the "Pool Deck." Just kidding. :)

Desert Cruizers Posted February 10, 2014 #23 Share Posted February 10, 2014 (edited) On our Princess sailing last Sept we reported to one of the Lounges, a couple times we went to the theater, it is always a challange to guess where we will go the next time.:) Our daughter and my SIL will be in a differant location then we will be, They are Starboard side and we are Port. I have to admit I never looked at the Sea pass Card for our Muster Station, will do that this time. True, except that in this case the OP was asking about Deck 17 on Oasis, which is where the 28 CL suites - and only CL suites -are, which would have no inside staterooms. They would likely only be split to starboard or port as to muster location and also may have the same single muster station cruise to cruise as they are limited in number and unique ship location. I think they were trying to determine where - from other cruisers experience - that would be. Edited February 10, 2014 by leaveitallbehind
