Cruise port pick up

Can a friend of mine pick me up at the port after my cruise? I have a friend that said they will pick me up and take me to the airport, but I don't know if they are allowed inside the cruise port.

Anyone know?

This is the cruise air forum. You don't name your port, but why not go to the appropriate ports of call forum and ask.

Generally speaking, yes. But if you tell us what port, someone can let you know if there are particular restrictions at that port that wouldn't allow it.

They will need to show their ID and then will have no problem besides "traffic" picking you up...Nice offer, but you might just opt for a taxi to save them the trouble.;)

Knowing now that it's Port Everglades, I agree with Ashland-- just get a cab. The port and airport are almost right next to each other...it's literally only a 10 min cab ride from the port for about $15. Save your friend the hassle of fighting the traffic, which is usually heavy getting in and out of the port.
