I am sailing on the Caribbean princess in June on Dolphin deck and staying in a mini suite and my kids will be on inside when I book looking at around D506 and D508 cabins has anyone every stayed in this class of cabin and does the AC work good in them and on ship. Also in the mini suite how is the sofa bed in the room? Thanks for all your help.

Keep your full curtains drawn during the day which will help if you are facing the hot afternoon sun.

I always carry a light shawl onboard in the public rooms in case they are too cool. I have never been too warm around the ship.

I've done 10 Princess cruises with locations from the front to the back. Perhaps I have been very lucky but I have never had any issues controlling the temperature in my cabin. I like my cabin to be very cool. I typically keep the thermostat at the bottom or close to it when I sleep. I do keep my drapes drawn during the day unless I am in my cabin. I think this keeps my cabin from getting too warm during the day.
