Top Ten Beaches, #5 in KW

The Travel Channel just did a show on the top ten beaches in Florida, and Smathers Beach in Key West came in at #5 (South Beach was #1).

 

I found this interesting since many of the posts here suggest folks go to Ft. Z. Taylor Beach. I will add that the Travel Channel did say the biggest attraction to Smathers is the....ahem....entertainment factor - it is regarded as one of the "more liberal" beaches in the country.

 

Just thought you should know....
