First Time PR Posted March 2, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 2, 2014 We got assigned a midship balcony on the aloha deck aboard the golden princess for our alaska june 14, 2014 cruise. Good? Bad? Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
JF - retired RRT Posted March 2, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 2, 2014 Never been on Aloha deck. flamomo Posted March 2, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 2, 2014 It's an OK location that I would be satisfied with, if it was me going on that cruise!
Colo Cruiser Posted March 2, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 2, 2014 Never been on Aloha deck. But here is a link that explains covered vs. uncovered balconies...very interesting.http://mysite.verizon.net/res76zxu/princessbalconies/index.html This site is for the Island/Coral Princess only. OP was asking about the Golden. The Aloha deck balcony on the Golden is covered and quiet as its between to decks of cabins.

This is out first time on Princess and first time with a balcony (honeymoon in Alaska so we splurged). So this should be a covered balcony? I saw on the deck plans the pool is on top. Should we expect noise from above. Sent from my iPhone using Forums

itzmered Posted March 2, 2014 #7 Share Posted March 2, 2014 We were in an Aloha midship cabin on the Golden on our Alaska cruise and it was good location. Pretty much any balcony cabin on an Alaska cruise is good :)
DrivesLikeMario Posted March 2, 2014 #8 Share Posted March 2, 2014 It's okay. Midship is always good, but I much prefer the Caribe Deck balconies because they're a lot bigger and are 1/2 covered and 1/2 uncovered. Your Aloha Deck balcony could be good for AK if you get a lot of rain because it's fully covered.
