wailea4me Posted March 10, 2014 #1 Share Posted March 10, 2014 What is a fun thing to do on St. Kitts. We like beach visits. Any recommendations?
hw1965 Posted March 12, 2014 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2014 We were just there. We took a taxi to the Marriott Resort and hung out at the beach and the pool. We had lunch there and it was good. $3 PP taxi ride each way and $35/PP for use of the resort. They do not take cash though.
sunnydaygirl Posted March 13, 2014 #3 Share Posted March 13, 2014 Was it $35 for just beach and pool and lounges? Or was something else included? Send from device_name using Cruise Critic your_app_name App
hw1965 Posted March 13, 2014 #4 Share Posted March 13, 2014 It included the cabanas and chairs at the beach. Access to the pool along with chairs at the pool. The lobby. There was free wifi. Basically the amenities of the hotel. Just not a room. Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app

OCruisers Posted March 13, 2014 #6 Share Posted March 13, 2014 Taking a Catamaran sail to Nevis is enjoyable. For those not interested in Beaches, the Sugar Train is better and more fun than you might expect it to be. :) LuLu ~~~

OCruisers Posted March 16, 2014 #8 Share Posted March 16, 2014 OCruiser - Can you tell more about the catamaran trip to Nevis? It's on a roomy sailing catamaran. First stop is at a reef to snorkel for about 45 minutes. Some just stay on the catamaran. After all are back from snorkeling the bar opens. Then on Nevis to Pinney Beach for several hours. Not good for snorkeling but an absolutely beautiful beach with tall palms in the back. Looks like a post card. :) Lunch is served ... then, a fun sail back. While it is a fun sail, it is why no means a party boat. It's a 6-Hour Tour so will basically take up your whole time in port. LuLu ~~~~
dcikon2 Posted March 16, 2014 #9 Share Posted March 16, 2014 Who did you contact about the catamaran cruise? What is the cost? I am glad that you mentioned it isn't a party boat. I have seen people get too drunk on those cruises.

I have seen people get too drunk on those cruises. We have always booked ours as a shore excursion thru the ship. While never inexpensive, the price has gone up over the years. The last time it was about $140 pp. It normally sells out rather quickly. LuLu ~~~~

OCruisers Posted March 19, 2014 #13 Share Posted March 19, 2014 How did you book the Sugar Train? Is there a website? The Sugar Train has contracts with the cruise line when in port so you would need to book it through your ship. LuLu ~~~
JimAOk1945 Posted March 19, 2014 #14 Share Posted March 19, 2014 How did you book the Sugar Train? Is there a website? I booked it through the Royal Caribbean cruise line website after I had booked our cruise on Adventure of the Seas.
