Strange Question about Drink Packages

 Share

Recommended Posts

My friend just called RCCL to ask about the drink packages and the lady she spoke to said that they have specials on board the ship where she didn't have to buy the package for the whole 8 days? Does this sound correct? I am thinking that the lady meant certain drinks were on "sale" not the drink package. Does anyone know?

Yes, I believe you heard correctly. I have read, that you can still purchase the drink package with at least 4 days left on cruise and the cost will be prorated to the days you are paying for. I even read where someone said they were actually able to purchase the package for just the last 2 days, but I have not found anything on Royal Caribbean to substantiate that. However, I guess you could try?

She is correct. The drink packages can be bought on board any day up until the final four days of the cruise, as that is the minimum drink package time frame for which they must be purchased. You then only pay for the total number of days purchased subject to the four day minimum.

Also they can be purchased individually, not by all over 21 in the stateroom. They just cannot be shared.

You can purchase the packages if there are at least 4 days remaining.
