Taxis in Nassau and Grand Turk

DH was wondering about taxi service in Nassau and Grand Turk ports. We are planning to adventure on our own. So tell what you know about taxi service in these ports---safety and price specifically. Cruising on Conquest April 27.

We've never done anything in GT other than sit on the beach but did take a taxi tour in Nassau. 5 of us was around $100 for a couple hour tour. Easy to get one right off the ship. Been to Nassau twice and nothing has ever happened as far as safety is concerned.

We have been to Grand Turk and are returning in July. Last time, we rented a golf cart from Nathan, and found it to be very enjoyable. Some of our exploring was done going down little dirt roads etc.. We found it very easy to navigate the Island. We actually went to the Light House and back and stopped for a little while at Governor's Beach.

Taxis are plentiful and safe in Nassau. But we can't help with price unless you tell us where you're trying to go. :)
