Rare mking8288 Posted April 23, 2014 #27 Share Posted April 23, 2014 Welcome home and just catching up with this sailing's review myself - we came back a week afterward from the BA and already missed her (those lucky ones are at GSC this morning, double decker tender boats are getting ready - from live Webcam :D ) Maybe we can explain what we saw previously with school breaks with the college groups. What we've observed is that, not just with Spring breakers, but true whenever there's a "drinking" crowd on the last evening - that there's sometimes "partying" around the cabins as NCL will release the alcohol purchased onboard (duty-free shopping) and from shore/ports taken back to the ship on the last evening - and, some decided it's time to go bottoms up so that they don't have to carry all of it OFF the ship the next morning. End result, behaviors such as loud noises & grown-ups running up & down the hallways. Holding them until the morning of disembarkation would address some of the problems that we've seen but the crew is very busy, thus resulting in some of these evening parties - UBP of a different kind. As for disembarkation, it seemed that more often than not, returning passengers were send out across 12th Avenue @ 48th Street for taxi, car service & private car pickup - even when doing the self-walkoff at 7:45 AM. That's because the duty free liquor purchases are picked up the on the last night. Legally, you're not supposed to legally open those packages until you go past customs and declare them. Take a guess how many people abide by that rule.
