1smudslide Posted May 10, 2014 #26 Share Posted May 10, 2014 I was wondering about this also. The last time I received an offer from Foxwoods for a free cruise, I was scheduled to pick it up on a Saturday. We stayed at the hotel Friday and Saturday nights and on Friday night, I saw that some people were picking up their certificates and theirs was in a nice folder; the one I received was just a certificate and brochure. I assumed that theirs was a better offer based on the presentation, so either Foxwoods or NCL is determining what offer you get based on play or potential play. 1smudslide - when you book your cruises with NCL, do you give them your latitudes number? After my cruise in March, I called to see what the rate would be on the Breakaway in October and they offered me a comped oceanview cabin but I didn't book it. I called back a few days later and they offered me a comped balcony room on the same cruise, so I booked it that day. I also received a new offer from Foxwoods, picking it up on May 24th. We usually get mid inside also. We'll probably save that one for next March. I guess presentation isn't everything. I've always gotten a nice folder and yet it's always been an inside! Yes, I do give my latitude number when I call. Funny that I have to pick up on Friday and you're going on Saturday. One year they did the insides on one night, ocean view on another and balcony and up on the third night. Not sure what they're doing now. My invite just said mid. I'm assuming that means inside mid ship.

I'm always waiting in a line that snakes around the room and out the door. My invite usually says mid inside but this time it says high inside, so I'm not sure what the difference is. The only difference I can see on the mailer from previous ones is that this one includes Alaska and Europe.
CasinoCruzGirl Posted May 11, 2014 Author #28 Share Posted May 11, 2014 Ok so I changed all my plans lol Called CAS cancelled my Pearl cruise and and am taking my DH on the Breakaway in November on a 7 night cruise. Comped an oceanview and upgraded to a haven penthouse suite. Total cost for 2 is $3,100. Regular price per website for this cabin is $4,567. Nice deal i can't wait to try the suite life on NCL having my own butler? Wow.

I'm "wild" also; can't seem to break through to the next level. I agree, I'm happy just to get the offers also.

CasinoCruzGirl Posted May 14, 2014 Author #32 Share Posted May 14, 2014 I'm gonna kill my DH he's making me crazy lol. Anyway he has never been on a cruise I have had to try my hardest to get him to agree to go on one with me. I finally convinced him to one for November 17th on the breakaway. He has been hemming and hawing about it the last few days what am I gonna do about my business whose gonna answer the phones, etc..... (He owns his own business sole proprietor) anyway the only way he said he would go is if it's during the week of thanksgiving. I can't afford the breakaway during that week but I found a 4 day on the sky where an Owners Suite is available November 24-28. I have to get a suite because I need him to really like cruising and I figure if he's in one of the basic cabins he won't like it as much and maybe 4 days opposed to 7 is a better way to start him off. I have already been on the Breakaway so trying another ship is kinda nice although it's much older that doesn't matter. I also think having a private hot tub will enhance the overall experience for him. I was able to book the owners suite on the sky for a great price through CAS. Gotta love CAS plus I think the 4 day with both of us gambling will be better on our pocketbooks. Oh hubby's can't live with them can't live without them. Wish me luck this really happens. againin13 Posted July 7, 2014 #34 Share Posted July 7, 2014 GeriC, I certainly hope you have a wonderful time ,this year will be my fourth cruise , I was a late starter(56)and my husband and I were married 43 years this June. In 2009 i won an all expense paid for two cruise through our local casino. Due to his back and not being able to hear cruising is not his cup of tea. So the first year I took my sister-in-law then the second year I took my mother the third year I took my youngest daughter and my oldest son and his wife booked the same cruise and then this year I am taking my daughter and my oldest son and his wife are booking the same cruise. All due to winning a cruise in the casino not only does the casino offer free cruises so does NCL. It's like getting to cruise two for the price of one. I love it absolutely love it the first three were Oceanview this one is a little less it's an obstructed Oceanview and the one that were booked and paid for for next October we finally got a balcony on the getaway as long as they're offered I'm going to continue to except this way I get to participate in two of my favorite things cruising and gambling Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

And as astonishing as it might be this was my DH idea so we didn't have to travel to Florida for a cruise we can leave right from our own backyard basically. So what I got was a comped Oceanview cabin and we upgraded to a balcony cabin. This past weekend I received a postcard direct from and NCL. Offering me $150 free play. I figured I would call them up and ask if they could apply it to my existing reservation. Not only did they say they can apply it to my reservation they told me this offer was also good for a comped balcony cabin and the price of my cabin would go down $500. You sound like me cruising and gambling are so much fun lol

DH goes for business's twice a year so I tag along lol. November 15 on the jewel out of Houston and then we're booked for October 31 on the getaway out of Miami in 2015. If we receive another deal we're thinking about making the 2015 a back to back. We're retired and my husband doesn't cruise so I have to book according to everyone else's schedules(my kids ) but my plan is to get one a year in. Certainly makes the rest of the year fun just in the planning part. But I do go to the casino once or twice a month. But it's an hour and a half away and I don't like driving at night. Hey break the bank in Vegas! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Usually one of the trips is with DH over a weekend then the other is by myself middle of the week like tues wens and if I'm winning Thursday lol. I'm going on the 18th meeting a few couples. I have a great host he is actually comping me 5 rooms for them all. He's the best.
