Congratulations on your upgrade, that is terrific, the windows/porthole are big about 4 feet accross. We love deck 2 very convenient to dinner, and night activity, also very convenient to disembark at the different ports. Of course, I probably can find plusses for every decks......

Let me tell you! You hit the jackpot! You paid for a category 12 and were upgraded to a 9. Cat. 9 rooms are great. A very large window helps filter in the carribean sun. The room is very spacious and conveniently situated to the restaurants, disembark, etc. Some people post that it can be a little noisy from the engines, etc. However I just sailed in February and had a perfect night sleep every night! Enjoy!

I just booked a cat 9 - congrats ongetting yours' upgraded... and the windows on most are quoted as 16 sq feet or slightly larger than 4' diameter. My TA said we could sit inthe window sill. Last year was our 1st on Disney and we had aninterior cabin... booked about a month before sailing and had no upgrade. Except they offerred improvements for cash at the pier... we opted not to.

Note... However, some cabins have 2 smaller windows. I would call your TA or DCL to enquire about the window size for your cabin.
