Which port is the best in June

New Orleans or Tampa, the same itinerary?

I haven't cruised from Tampa only because New Orleans is closer to me; only a 3 hour drive. I spoke to a TA friend of my last week about possibly leaving out of Tampa on our next cruise and she told me that she finds Tampa a little hectic to get into and out of.

We've never sailed from NOLA but have twice from Tampa and love that port! Much easier to get in and out than from Miami.

I've never been to Tampa but have cruised out of NOLA 5 or 6 times and it is easy to maneuver and I've never had any problems there.

NOLA is my favorite home port.

It depends on what you consider "best". I imagine parking in NOLA and hotels before/after the cruise might be more expensive than Tampa. Are you looking to spend a few days before or after or are you just looking to get on/off the ship and back home?

New Orleans has more to do IMO. It is very walkable with lots of attractions and history right in the port area. Tampa is spread out.
