Lisa - I just realized that we'll be in Aruba on December 6 - St. Nicholas Day. Does that cause any problems? I know it's a big day in the Netherlands, but not sure about Aruba. Any idea?

Adventure of the Seas - arrive Aruba 9/18 ... would love to do 'something on the water' - any kind of boat ride, a beach where I can lay on a float for hours. enjoy sight-seeing, but can't deal with heat, need something with breeze or A/C

Thanks, Lisa! We'll be arriving on the Volendam and we're seriously considering the Jolly Pirates afternoon excursion. Hope the weather cooperates! Hmmmm - I wonder if Sinterklaas will visit the Volendam?

So, of course, it would have to be the afternoon cruise that capsized! I'm so glad no one was hurt, but I'll to do some fast talking now, I'm afraid, to convince my friends to take this excursion! Freak weather can happen anywhere - I know - so I still want to go!

We'll be visiting Aruba on the Veendam on December 5th:) . We love Aruba's beaches and plan to go over to the beach by Pirate's Nest at the Bucati Resort. We were there a couple of years ago and the water was just exquisite and the beach wonderful.
