ctrlbrk Posted May 20, 2014 #1 Share Posted May 20, 2014 Can someone post a room service menu please? For Jewel if it matters. I just realized I thought room service was free on NCL, like on RCCL but read a post just now about it costing $5 for a pizza. I love ordering room service! But not if it's expensive! Valen9 Posted May 20, 2014 #4 Share Posted May 20, 2014 Room service on NCL is free. For $5, they will deliver a WHOLE made-to-order pizza to you anywhere on the ship... including your room. Maybe you can think of it as like the catering platters they'll also deliver to your room for a fee? Before they started the $5 pizza stuff, I think you could order a slice from the kid's menu. It was the sort of stuff you could get at the kid's buffet. I've heard that the $5 pizza is much better now, but I cannot confirm this from personal experience. ctrlbrk Posted May 20, 2014 Author #5 Share Posted May 20, 2014 (edited) I hear the $5 pizza is pretty good, I look forward to trying it. When I was on Allure last year I really loved their pizza place. Man it was awesome! Looking forward to trying NCL. GrabMyWrist Posted May 20, 2014 #9 Share Posted May 20, 2014 The $5.00 pizza is worth it. Room service is nice if you want an afternoon snack or breakfast in your room on excursion days.
LrgPizza Posted May 20, 2014 #10 Share Posted May 20, 2014 We might have a $5 pizza delivered to us poolside or maybe in the atrium. My son is looking forward to this.

Amazing that they will deliver the pizza wherever you'd like. I've even heard about pizzas being delivered to the casino - to a player at a table - as a late night snack! ;) Sent from my phone - using the Cruise Critic forums app Edited May 20, 2014 by happy cruzin

ctrlbrk Posted May 20, 2014 Author #13 Share Posted May 20, 2014 Thanks johnql! Only thing, there aren't any entrees? Like eating in one night, steak, potato, veggie etc. Is it possible to order from the MDR menu for room service? tleahcim Posted May 20, 2014 #15 Share Posted May 20, 2014 I believe the room service food is prepped in the same area as the Blue Lagoon because both are available 24 hours so you might be able to get items from that menu. On a whim, one night I asked for the wonton soup and it was delivered even though it's on the Blue Lagoon menu but not the room service menu. To get around the $5 pizza charge, I've included an order with items off the room service menu and haven't seen a service fee yet! Knock on wood... Ewoodspark Posted May 20, 2014 #17 Share Posted May 20, 2014 Whilst on the subject of room service, I see that a bottle of house wine is listed as $24. When I asked for a bottle of house wine on the Pearl in the MDR, the waiter said they did not stock house wine. I advised him it was shown on the room service menu but he chose to ignore my comment. The next day I mentioned this in passing to Mr Plunkett (commonly known as Mr.P). the maitre'D, in the dining room, and he just waffled some excuse that I could not understand. I could not understand therefore that if house wine is listed on the room service menu, why I could not purchase it in the MDR. Any clues anybody? jdvmd Posted May 20, 2014 #18 Share Posted May 20, 2014 FYI: The $5 is a 16-inch large pie.
rbrugler Posted May 20, 2014 #19 Share Posted May 20, 2014 I assumed in my answer that you are not in a suite. Suites can order from specialty restaurants and have a many more choices in room service.
daffodiliaz Posted May 20, 2014 #20 Share Posted May 20, 2014 Thanks for posting the menu. Good to know its salad & sandwiches. Skip the turkey hoagie. It's pathetic. One piece of turkey on a big hoagie roll on a plate covered in Lay's potato chips. The Caesar salad is good.

marne001 Posted June 20, 2014 #22 Share Posted June 20, 2014 Room Service Menu (cont'd) Dear Johnql, Thank you for posting so much information. We are trying to plan our final purchase, the last day liquor sale, might you have the list detailing what is offered? I am not so interested in the price, but it is a bargain, but in the specific offerings. Thanks, Marne
