Clarea Posted May 22, 2014 #2 Share Posted May 22, 2014 I have been in GS on Explorer how will this compare to GS on Serenade. Are the perks the same? Perks are almost identical. However, I don't believe Serenade has the reserved seating area around the pool.
Susie51 Posted May 22, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted May 22, 2014 Is the layout and size of the suites the same? DD29 will miss the reserved seating by the pool. Thank you for the info.

SJSoccerCruiser Posted May 23, 2014 #5 Share Posted May 23, 2014 (edited) Does anyone have a picture of a GS on the Serenade? Here are pictures from GS 1048 which I stayed in last summer: cruiselinerooms dot com/Site/view_cabin.php?ship=Serenade%20of%20the%20Seas&cabin=1048 Edited May 23, 2014 by SJSoccerCruiser
leaveitallbehind Posted May 23, 2014 #6 Share Posted May 23, 2014 Is the layout and size of the suites the same? DD29 will miss the reserved seating by the pool. Thank you for the info. Layout is essentially the same but the sizes are noticeably different: Serenade: 380 sq. ft. / 110 sq. ft. balcony Explorer: 349 sq. ft. / 100 sq. ft. balcony. So Serenade GS is larger. cabarr Posted May 25, 2014 #8 Share Posted May 25, 2014 Explorer Grand is very roomy ......closet is not a walk-in ( as in Jr Suite)it is mirrored wall unit behind your bar ..... bathroom very large as well....with tub and double sink area but for some reason I actually felt On Serenade in Europe last summer we had a Jr suite which was the largest of all the ships we have been on including Explorer .... So I would imagine that the Grand should be just as large as Explorer or maybe a bit more spacious! Just loved the Serenade! Perks are concierge lounge, fruit basket on arrival, special dine in your room menu, concierge services booking tours, restaurant reservations, internet... As well as priority tender spots getting off ship If you are Diamond, Diamond Plus on RCI you can go back and forth between Diamond/Concierge. If I remember correctly there was a small designated lounge chair area on front of ship...not by main pool. Hope this helps!
Merion_Mom Posted May 26, 2014 #9 Share Posted May 26, 2014 The décor in the GS on the Serenade is more luxurious and sophisticated than the GS on the Explorer. The bathrooms have the same layout. The closets are the same. :)
