Copenhagen Oceankaj (Quay C330) transportation questions

Recommended Posts

Just glancing at this thread, and all the info re bus 26 and 27, I'm wondering how manageable that is with large size rolling bags?

What will a cab cost to get to the oceankaj pier from our Nyhaven area hotel? Seems that will be easiest for us.

WoW! After reading all this Im overwhelmed. We fly in at 715am June 26 for a cruise on the Princess Regal that day. Thought about doing trains and buses but is it easiest to take a taxi right to the pier at Oceankaj? I take it the price is going to be around $50? Still cheaper than Princess taking us.

Will this be too early to arrive at the ship? I figure getting through customs and transportation will put us there around 9:30 am?

Disembarking is another story... We are staying at Hotel Kong Arthur for 2 nights after the cruise. Would the best way to get there be taxi or is the transportation system worked out better than it was last year? Is it easier to take the bus?

Leaving from Hotel Kong Arthur for 12:25 pm flight on a Thursday be easier with using buses and/or trains or taxi as our best option?

Thank you for all your information

From Danish Viking in another thread. We're also staying in the Nyhaven area.

"A taxi should be in the 250 kroner range from the airport and around 200 to the pier"

From the airport its around 400-450 kroner, with the strong US dollars its probably around 50-60 dollars. (normally its closer to around 80 dollars)

A taxi is of course a more easy transportation option but also more expensive.

Else its just 36 kroner for a 3 zone ticket, just take the train to Østerport and either get on bus 27 or the cruise shuttle.

  • 2 weeks later...

The shuttle is now up on Movia´s website

Here is my post from the Wonderful Copenhagen thread.

So we are at it again

There are no changes to bus 27 so I wont go into that.

http://www.moviatrafik.dk/dinrejse/trafikinfo/Documents/26-27.pdf

But the cruise shuttle that last year was an extended service on route 26 is now has its own number.

The new route is called 25.

Info from the website

"When cruise ships dock at Oceankaj (cruise ship terminal) shuttle buses will be operating between Nørreport Station and Oceankaj (cruise ship terminal) with stop at Østerport Station (at Folke Bernadottes Allé) from 8 AM until 4 PM approximately every 20-30 minutes. It is also possible to use bus 27 to and from Oceankaj - the 27 operates between Oceankaj and Østerport Station, sløjfen See the timetable for more information."

http://www.moviatrafik.dk/Timetable%20Resources/25-0025-020515-r.pdf

This bus departs from Nørreport, the station map hasn´t been updated but expect it to be the bus stop closest to Tornebuskgade

http://www.moviatrafik.dk/Terminalkort/N%C3%B8rreport.pdf

At Østerport it will not stop the same place as bus 27, it will use the same bus stop as bus 26.

Even though the map says otherwise bus 26 will still stop at Sløjfen so its still possible to change from 26 to 27.

http://www.moviatrafik.dk/Terminalkort/%C3%98sterport.pdf

Arriving to Østerport by bus 26

1) get off at Østerport station (Folkebernadotte´s Allé bus top) and change to 25 that departs every 20th-30th minute (it has no fixed schedule)

2) take bus 26 one stop further to the Østerport station, Sløjfen bus stop at take bus 27 from there.

http://www.moviatrafik.dk/dinrejse/koreplaner/Pages/Buslinje.aspx?direction_gid=9014200002710000&linegid=9011200002700000&line_name=27#navigate

Arriving to Østerport by train

Bus 25 is reached by walking up to the main ticket hall, walk left when you get out on the street.

You´ll then cross the pedestrian crossing and you will see the bus stop on your left hand.

Bus 27 is on the other end of the platform.

Walk down the the bridge that are located in the far end of the platform, walk right and you will find the Sløjfen bus stop.

Getting from the airport.

Either you take the metro line M2 towards Vanløse and get off at Nørreport.

From here you can catch bus 25.

If you take the Øresundstog train (direction Nivå or Helsingør) you can either get off at Nørreport and take bus 25 from here.

Or you can continue to Østerport and take both 25 and 27 from there.

Hi, Danish Viking,

RE: #159 Report Post 04/27 03:27 AM Danish viking

======================================

am confused by your reference of train(s);

if possible can you be more specific e.g. M2; S-tog, DSB etc

Arriving to Østerport by train (M2 ?)

Bus 25 is reached by walking up to the main ticket hall, walk left when you get out on the street....

If you take the Øresundstog train (direction Nivå or Helsingør)... ((DSB Øresund ?)

Thanks.

Dear Danish viking

1) How to take Øresundstog train (direction Nivå or Helsingør) as you suggested in Post #159) from Airport to Nørreport or Østerport

2) I found from the Airport there is a DSB Øresundståg that seems to also stop at Nørreport or Østerport as well - Are they two different rail lines ?

But rejseplanen.dk does not seem to offer trains other than M2 for the journey?

From : Airport (Kastrup Lufthavn, Udenrigs (Tog, Metro, Bus))

To : Oceankaj 2, 2150 Nordhavn, Københavns Kommune

Itineraries mostly would offer M2 to Kongens Nytorv ; then transferring to Bus 26 /27 etc

3) How to force rejseplanen.dk to offer other rail lines from the Airport?

4) Where to find DSB Øresundståg weekday schedule between airport to Nørreport or Østerport ?

Thx.

Since M2 is the metro line M2 it doesn´t go anywhere near Østerport.

The only trains between the airport and Østerport is the Øresundstog trains.

Between the central station, Nørreport and Østerport the Øresundstog is supplemented by the other trains (Regionaltog, ICE, Intercity and Eurocity)

Between the central station, Vesterport, Nørreport and Østerport the S-train is also a possibility.

If you however take the metro from the airport (M2 towards Vanløse) you will end at Nørreport.

From here you take bus 25 to the cruiseport or continue with the other trains to Østerport from where both 25 and 27 departs from.

The weekday departures is the white ones.

As you can see the trains from the airport goes at 02, 14, 22, 34, 42 and 54 past the hour and the trip is taking 20-21 minutes depending on departure.

For some odd reason Rejseplanen only suggest the metro for that journey but just follow my instructiuons.

(Swedish: Öresundståg, Danish: Øresundstog)

For a Saturday schedule, will it be bus 27? or the cruise port shuttle bus?

from central station, how to we get to the Oceankaj port?

thanks!

Both actually.

You can do 2 things.

Take the train to Nørreport and take bus 25 from there.

Or continue to Østerport and take 25 from the Østerport station bus stop or 27 from the Østerport station, Sløjfen bus stop.

Hi Danish Viking,

With the latest changes, if we're to take Bus 26 from København H, does it mean we can take any of the Bus 26, coming every 10 mins, no matter where it terminates :p but get off at Østerport St (Folkebernadotte´s Allé) for Bus 25 or Østerport St (Sløjfen) for Bus 27?

Many thanks.

Hi, Danish viking,

" Finally, Got the Quote thing going."

Glad that you have found relaxing to watch the train ride video.

But I was interested in finding out the distance between the stations by KM posts along the railway; can you tell from the video which ones are the KM posts? if you have got them, what are the KM for Kastrup Lufthavn (Airport); København H (Central Station) ; Norreport; Østerport

Or where the DSB hides in the web, the official Railway Chart/Scheme showing the info?

The newly updated (26.4.15) Østerport Station plan showing in the lower right corner both 26 and 27 (20m down north) Stops.

Hope that they will place 25 SB Stop with 26 close to the Station (saving the walk to catch the train), NB Stop with 27 (both toward Oceankaj).

Where are the 26 stops at Nørreport?

Yes all busses for Søndre Frihavn stops at Østerport.

But from København H its quicker to take the train to Østerport bit it goes in a tunnel most of the way so you won't much of Copenhagen this way.

That info is hiding on the infrastructure owner Bane Danmarks website Bane.dk

I can find the info when I get the time to look at it
