thrillergirl Posted June 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted June 22, 2014 Need Help! Ready to book Eastern Caribbean on Carnival Magic. Anyone have any thoughts on the following staterooms? Portside: 2334, 2338, 2370, 2400, 2386, 2388, 2404, 2414, 2258 and 2262. Starboard: 2277, 2385, 2399, 2401, 2403, 2409, 2431, 2293, 2405 and 2407. We understand this deck is over the Galley and can be quite noisy. Looking for a stateroom offering less noise. Thanks to all who can help us. love-lee Posted June 22, 2014 #2 Share Posted June 22, 2014 I have 2293 and 2297 adjoining booked for this July. I've read great things about them. http://www.cruisecritic.com/cabinguru/deckplanreviews.cfm?ShipID=513&category=7C Sent from my iPhone using Forums
springs741 Posted June 22, 2014 #3 Share Posted June 22, 2014 Any stateroom with a number less than 2334 Port or 2361 starboard are your best bet. Parts of deck two are UNDER the galley. The staterooms list above are under the dining area or things like guest service or shore excursions. IMO, the best coves on the Magic are just forward of 2260 port and 2285 starboard. fromaustin Posted June 22, 2014 #4 Share Posted June 22, 2014 I just got off the Magic today and we were in room 2293. It was quiet from above. Also our cove balcony was in an open space between life boats. It was very nice. I would recommend it.
karessamom Posted June 22, 2014 #5 Share Posted June 22, 2014 How would 2220 fair out I think it's port side and a port hole it's actually considered an inside room but it's got port holes. How would the noise level be?? ( on magic) couldn't afford a balcony this time or an ocean view so we booked this instead I like the configuration of this compared to the other inside rooms because it has a sofa and table
CrystalBeachGal Posted June 22, 2014 #6 Share Posted June 22, 2014 We just got off the Magic today. We stayed in 2372 and only heard a slight banging noise in the mornings. Our kids and grandma were in 2407 and one night the noise from the galley above was so loud grandma couldnt sleep (she is normally a heavy sleeper so it must have been pretty loud). Both rooms have a connecting door to the next cabin but noise coming from the adjoining cabin was not a problem. Otherwise, we all thought the cove balconies are the best cabins on the ship. We loved being so close to the water and we even saw some flying fish one morning from the cove balcony. Badfinger Posted June 23, 2014 #7 Share Posted June 23, 2014 Less noise you say? Then head up to deck 11. We had room 11236 last year. Cabins above and below and very little foot traffic on that deck. Booked the same deck this year.
jandjtexas Posted June 24, 2014 #8 Share Posted June 24, 2014 Was in 2262 last month. It was close to the forward elevators and we never heard any outside noise. Great room, wish I was in it now!
thecruiserofships Posted June 24, 2014 #9 Share Posted June 24, 2014 Are all cove balconies under lifeboats or only a few?
