Port Canaveral Parking Garage

Hi Everyone! DH and I going on the Liberty August 9th. I've searched the forums and the port authority regarding this question... no answers. I understand that the Liberty goes out on either Terminal #6 or #10? It looks as though the only parking garage is at #10? Can you park in it regardless of which terminal you go out of or must you park in a lot for whatever terminal the ship sails from?

I've looked for garages off site and have talked with our hotel about their stay and cruise program and their parking is an open lot also.

Either way....can't wait to go! Thank you! :D

There's a parking garage at #6! We were getting back from a 3 day cruise on the Sensation when the Liberty first arrived and we were right beside it. We always park in the garage there so our car will stay in the shade! Have fun!

Whether you park in one of our terminal lots or parking garages, the rate* for the following cruises are:

3-night-$60, 4-night-$75, 5-night-$90, 6-night-$105, 7-night-$120 and 8-night-$135 for vehicles up to 20 feet in length.

CONVENIENT, SAFE & SECURE PARKING

Each of our seven beautiful cruise terminals has its own conveniently located secure parking area close to the ships. All parking facilities at Port Canaveral are gated and well-lighted, and we have our own federally trained police force that patrols our parking areas 24/7 so you know your property is well protected while you sail.

CRUISE TERMINAL 5

Terminal 5 is an elegant two-story triangular terminal boasting a 30-foot high atrium filled with tropical vegetation and three cascading waterfalls. Embarking passengers glide upward into a glass-enclosed second-floor lounge with water views in every direction, while disembarking passengers, luggage, and ship's provisions move through the downstairs areas.

CRUISE TERMINAL 6

Cruise Terminal 6 is our newest cruise facility, designed specifically for the modern generation of cruise ships. Sleek and luminous, with awe-inspiring ships' views, the terminal's design includes highly visible ship-linked signage, convenient and safety-conscious passenger and baggage flow, and high-volume processing capacity for efficient embarkation.

CRUISE TERMINAL 8

The first terminal in the U.S. built to a specific cruise line's specifications and for its exclusive use, Cruise Terminal 8 was custom-designed for Disney. It boasts a 90-foot high glass tower, a connecting covered walkway from the parking garage and lots of special Disney touches. The terminal was renovated and enlarged in 2010 to welcome the newest generation of Disney ships.

CRUISE TERMINAL 10

Cruise Terminal 10 is a beautiful, modern terminal with all the technological bells and whistles, including an automated baggage conveyor system and three-tiered passenger-loading tower with elevator and escalators. The massive murals of local plants, animals and recreation installed on the exterior of this terminal's parking garage make it easy to locate.

I hope this helps! There is a garage at 6 as well.

I stopped parking at the port when a safe, far more affordable alternative turned up. Parking at the port is, in fact, convenient, and safe, but the price is just "out of hand" IMO.

I've started using, and have used 7 or 8 times now, Park-n-Cruise. You can google it, I'm sure. They're about 1/2 the price, and only a short distance from the port. They offer baggage assistance, and shuttle, to and from the ship. Cost is about $8 per day, but they too have started charging 8 days for a seven day cruise, etc. Still, I've had no problem with parking there.

I understand that there are several hotels in the area that allow parking for your cruise as well. A bit of research will turn up answers.

Good luck, and you're gonna LOVE "Liberty"! ;)

I parked at terminal 6 when I sailed on The Liberty last month. What was really sweet is using a porter when you come off the ship. There is a special line for porters and you zip right through customs. Everyone else was waiting in a line a mile long and we zipped right through. He was so nice he even wheeled our luggage all the way to our car in the parking lot.

BTW when you show up you can pull right up in front of the terminal and give your luggage to a porter and then go park your car.

I have used the other options such as offsite parking and staying at a hotel that has parking and shuttle service. For me it is well worth the cost of getting off the ship, into my car and then start heading home. After being in lines and dealing with crowds for a week I don't want to deal with another shuttle and crowd.

I always use Park n Cruise. I don't feel like paying up the ying yang for shade. When you live in Florida, the sun is hard to avoid even on a daily basis.

Thank you for the advice everyone! My message was moved and took me a day to find it! LOL. Staying at LaQuinta and they have the park and cruise program but not covered or garaged. Only other option is to have our oldest son who lives in Orlando drive us to the port and park the car in his garage. (not ) We got a 40% off coupon from LaQuinta for port parking so not bad.

RuthLessBoss..... I live in FL... exactly the reason I want my car garaged.. ;) it gets enough of the sun/heat. Brand new car...I only buy one every 10-15 years and want to protect it as long as I can.

How recently have you used Park n Cruise. I've read a couple recent reviews where it says they had to wait awhile to be picked up after the cruise.

We used Park n' Cruise on our Sep 22 2014 8 day cruise, no complaints, after Carnival changed the arrival terminal 3 times they were there to meet us, when we got back to the lot our car was there waiting. Will recommend, courteous and on time service.👍

My neighbor says you need to reserve parking at the port. Is that correct? Thanks!

no

the port offer's reservation with pre-pay but that is primarily to remove the chance you'll be swayed by the signs offering parking for 1/2 the cost as you drive in ...

The port's "problem" is too many open spaces in their expensive parking garages . . .

If you research you can find some of the things they've tried, like a smear video and pressuring the township to outlaw parking lots . . .

Thanks! I am curious though,,,what do mean by too many empty spaces in their parking garage? Are you saying they charge too much and that is why it has all that empty space? We pay $15 a day here in Balto and in NY we pay $35 a day. Sure it HURTS and the cost is crazy but we like getting off and just getting in our vehicle and driving away.

I appreciate your answer. That gives me the answer we hoped for. Thanks again.

You know everytime a thread goes up about parking the park n cruise and other homers jump on about how much cheaper it is. Yeah, its a few dollars a day cheaper to park n cruise, anyone who can read a sign knows that.

On the other hand, some of us park at the terminal for a few reasons:

- Accessability

- Ease of on/off and not waiting for a shuttle

- More secure (Yes, the radisson lot gets hit up, 2 busted out cars last time I parked there)

- convenience

For example, this upcoming trip I am spending 2 weeks in Florida. 1 week on a cruise (5 day) 2nd in Orlando. I have a several items I want to keep in my car and not take on the cruise. I would rather keep the car parked, in a shaded garage, with CCTV and 24 hour guards then in a empty lot (Radisson) or a chain linked fenced lot in an industrual area where they keep my keys (Park N Cruise). In both of the alternatives I also have to wait in a shuttle, load my luggage, move with the cattle...when I can pay a couple bucks more and walk right into my car and drive away....

So please, everytime someone asks about the garage...there isnt a need to get on the penny pinch parade and become a boy scout for the lots...we can all read signs and see cheaper options. Sometimes we want to pay a premium for something else....

To each is own, some people choose to throw money at the ship's casino others at where their car is parked. I just spent $71.91 at Park n Cruise for an 8 day cruise, nothing was broken, nothing stolen and our car was waiting as soon as the shuttle took us back to the lot.

True, and in some cases I would park in a cheaper lot. But then again....do we need to "OH MY LAWD its SOOOO expensive in the parking deck....I don't know why ANYONE would park there...etc etc..."...because basically that's what some of the posts amount to.

yes ... very popular topic in our local paper ... the port has "too many empty spaces" because of the off site lots undercutting their price ... these were the words of the port commissioners in the paper . . .

so the port authority has produced (and now withdrawn) video showing the bad side of parking off site; and has tried to get the city of Cape Canaveral to make 'parking lots' illegal . . . .

on the other side .. PC's charge IS less then other places like POM

BUT more expensive than alternatives within 5 minutes of the port.

I believe the OP is sailing from Fr. Lauderdale, not port Canaveral.

With that said, regarding Port Canaveral, we are fans of Park N Cruise. We've had great service over the past few years.

We have stayed at a few places that offer a 40% off parking at the port. If the room rate is not inflated, we take this offer.

Both types of parking places have advantages.

Thank you Tutontow for posting this! (BTW when you show up you can pull right up in front of the terminal and give your luggage to a porter and then go park your car.) I have been searching for this answer for some time now. Glad I come across your post. I wasn't sure if the porters were in front of Terminal 6 or in the parking garage area. Thanks again!
