Question about CAS booking

Recommended Posts

I received a comp inside cabin from a land casino used it on the breakaway upgrading myself to a balcony. DH did not come with me. Now booked again on the breakaway for November that he is coming with me and received a comp balcony just from myself gambling on the last cruise. Question is since DH will be with me on this coming cruise and he gambles even more than me I'm wondering what kind of cabin I would be comped on future cruise. I'm thinking of booking escape for 2015 or at the very least a Bermuda cruise again on the breakaway. Should I wait till after the next cruise that he will be with me on? And the other question is should we use separate cards or just one?

Thanks for help. Sure wish Robin (fishbait) was around she would know

Hi! We were in same situation. First cruise just me - comped balcony based on offer from a land based casino (Harrahs) -- got about 10,000 points. Second cruise got balcony comped and upgraded to mini-suite, just based on my play from first cruise. Husband, who gambles more, came along. We both gambled alot, and both used our own cards. Between us about 25,000 points, him 15,000 and me 10000. For credits at end of cruise, they combined our play (but told me they could only do that if we have both used the same credit cards on our seapass card. Said if we had used separate credit cards, they would have to calculate separately). But they cannot combine play for tiers. Third cruise they looked at both our play, and comped a mini-suite for a 10 day. Both of us played alot again, but we tended to use my card more so I could get to VIP level since I had more points since I had been on one more cruise than him. On that one, I had about 15,000 points and he had 7500, so I got to VIP. Fourth cruise, again looked at both our play, and comped an aft suite. Havent gone on this one yet.

You should definitely wait til about a week after you sail to call them.

Thanks terry sounds like the same situation. So for the most part you used separate cards? Yes we will use same credit card for our cabin.

We had same experience as Terry. Yes, you'll each have a card in your respective names. In part because the tier rewards may prove different.

On our last cruise, I was Golden, and Daniel was Hot (well.... in my eyes, still is ;) ), so I got premium drinks and he was entitled to regular.

However after a day or so, the servers just started asking for my card alone, and brought him premium too. I'm not sure if that's because we tipped well, or if it's standard practice, but it worked for us.

May I ask what slots you play? I play on the video poker machines, so it takes $10 to earn one credit.

Mostly play ultimate poker video. I am also addicted to Buffalo and will take a break from playing poker and go play the Buffalo machine for a while.

Great game. I was at harrahs in Atlantic city last month playing 3 card poker. They were opening new card packs and had to shuffle so I got up and put a $20 bill in a buffalo machine got up. 5 minutes later with $358

Our experience with regard to cards is that couples with the same last name each have a card in their own name, but at the end of the cruise the casino staff will consider your combine points when deciding on the amount of credit to offer against your final bill.
