Flight question?

Hello,

 

Flights are: Leaving Ohio flying through Honolulu to Hilo Big Island then our return is Lihue Kauai through Honolulu back to Ohio...

 

My question is once we land in Honolulu will we need to collect our bags and then re-check them? All flights are with American Airlines but am not sure of how the Island Hoppers work for bags?

I would think that if its the same airline, youd go straight through. At least thats my opinion.

Okay after looking over my flight once again the flights to and from Honolulu are American Airlines operated by Hawaiian Airlines...will that make any difference?

 

Most likely we will travel with carry-on only but if they are over full and we have to gate check I would like to be prepared since our layovers aren't very long.

Your bags will continue through....just like any other change of plane stop!

Double check on your bags. Hawaiian has been NOT been forwarding bags on some airlines. United, for example.
