Daghis Posted August 19, 2014 #26 Share Posted August 19, 2014 I've never ice skated onboard a Royal Caribbean ship, despite sailing on ships with ice skating available nine times so far.

HappyCruiser Posted August 19, 2014 #29 Share Posted August 19, 2014 My first 5 or 6 cruises I did everything I could. Napkin folding, aerobics, sports talks. I didn't want to miss a thing! Flash forward 30 years and I do as little (or as much) as I want. Most times that means a lot of relaxing.

woodyren Posted August 19, 2014 #36 Share Posted August 19, 2014 I haven't read the rest and just jumped on the end of the line here. Never purchased a ships shore excursion. Never attended an art auction. Never had a spa treatment on board. Never removed gratuities and never added any either. Never gambled in the casino except for slot pulls organised with our roll call. Never wanted to dine with the captain any more than I would want to dine with any crew or passenger on board. Never been sea sick. Never talked rudely to or treated any staff with disrespect. Never had a butler and never wanted one. and the most important....... Never had so many enjoyable times as the ones I experience when I am on the high seas! Rare BillOh Posted August 19, 2014 #38 Share Posted August 19, 2014 I have cruised many times, always on Royal Caribbean. I can't remember how many cruises I have been on but I should be Diamond+ sometime next year. I have to admit that there are a lot of things that I have not done. Never been to the love and marriage show, Quest, bingo, art sale, Mr sexy legs, belly flop competition and never been in the main pool. What is your "never done" on Royal Caribbean? Your statement is a good reminder the ships are big and have something for everybody. The fact that there is still room at Quest is because its not for everyone and there are other things to do. I took care of one, "I never" on my last Allure cruise. With 4 cruises on a ship with an Ice rink, I've never went to an ice show. I took care of that on Allure in 2013. Rare BillOh Posted August 19, 2014 #39 Share Posted August 19, 2014 Never had a balcony. Probably never will unless upgraded for free. Never done the Flowrider or rock wall because I can't. Never been on an excursion. Never had dinner with the Captain. Never been on the helipad. Never ordered room service. I have a whole lot of nevers You and I both post here a lot and have seen each other, so I hope you know this isn't a criticism, but just an inquiry. I can understand some of these as personal choices and you know how to enjoy a cruise in your way, but why never been on a helipad? Was it a choice not to? I know for us, the first time on a ship we explore every inch. I have done one sailaway from Navigator's helipad and may do so again on Freedom next Spring. Now I can imagine a few times you might have tried and it was closed off due to wind. I'll admit it bugs me just a little to have been on Allure twice and never been allowed on the helipad. I'll have to go again after making Diamond. :o
Rare BillOh Posted August 19, 2014 #40 Share Posted August 19, 2014 I've never been.... to the naughty room. Sent from my GT-N5110 using Forums mobile app There is a good one. I have never been in 10 cruises. Part of that is because we don't try to bring on anything we shouldn't, but I am aware of other people ending up there. I've read so many horror stories here, I think I would wait till the last minute after everyone else has picked up there stuff so I don't have to wait in line, as I hate lines more than anything on a cruise. Though it might be interesting to watch others getting questioned if that happens. Good one.
Rare BillOh Posted August 19, 2014 #41 Share Posted August 19, 2014 Art sale' date='[/quote'] Another good one that I am sure I will never do. I am loving this thread idea. Kudos to the OP. On a list of things I have done once and will never do again, Attend a port shopping discussion and buy a coupon book!
Rare BillOh Posted August 19, 2014 #42 Share Posted August 19, 2014 I guess that I just tend to do what I am comfortable with, that and we usually are in bed by 11pm. Perhaps I need to broaden my horizons. As long as you had a good time and got what you needed out of the cruise, I commend you!
Rare BillOh Posted August 19, 2014 #43 Share Posted August 19, 2014 (edited) Also avoided cabin arrest:eek: I'm not overly superstitious, but I haven't gotten sick or been in a medical quarantine. My last cruise on Jewel I may have come close. We were cruising with friends who were on their 3rd cruise and just after late seating on the last night (dinner ended at 11pm ) My friend got violently ill and was confined to his room until disembarkation. (8 hours that he would have slept away anyway) Edited August 19, 2014 by BillOh

Rare BillOh Posted August 19, 2014 #45 Share Posted August 19, 2014 I have never been on Love & Marriage (and I never will!!!) This will be in my "one and done" category. Jewel 2012. Dennis did a great job and it was a fun experience overall. The most memorable thing was the man who was 80+ married 60 years. On stage he wouldn't say hardly anything the CD had to painfully coax answers from him. But when the guys were backstage he was charming and had great stories to tell. Very memorable guy. I still watch the video once in awhile. SORRY TO BOND THIS THREAD WITH SEVERAL POSTS IN A ROW, but I love the original nature of this thread. Great topic. Fat Paul Posted August 19, 2014 Author #47 Share Posted August 19, 2014 Wow, some great comments. I guess that's the great thing about cruising, it's one big ship but we each get to be the author of our own experience.
Melozone Posted August 19, 2014 #48 Share Posted August 19, 2014 Never checked out the entire ship. Been to the naughty ship and the police were there. My husband had a bullet keychain. I was ready to cry! They kept it until after the cruise.

Im not sure if you remember my situation but Im paraplegic and in a wheelchair and I just havent been able to find a helipad that is accessible without people carrying me up the stairs! We had a group that was gonna try it on Radiance but we decided against it in case something happened like they dropped me or something  I would LOVE to go out there for sailaway but I just dont know if its possible or not.
