feedmytummy Posted August 20, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 20, 2014 Hi, everyone... I've been checking our cabin fares using http://www.carnival.com/bookingengine/fareviewer#. I just noticed today that our category (8C) is no longer listed. Is it safe to assume that this category is sold out and, therefore, will have no chance of price drops? Thanks for any insight. vwrestler171 Posted August 20, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 20, 2014 If a higher category has the same price or lower, you can get the upgrade. SOMETIMES if the 8D drops below the 8C, you can get the OBC, depends on the rep that answers the phone.
092306 Posted August 20, 2014 #3 Share Posted August 20, 2014 I've seen my category not listed one day and back the next so keep checking.

Good to know both of the above. Thanks!
suitcasejo Posted August 23, 2014 #5 Share Posted August 23, 2014 Is there a place to check the change in all ships fares?
snc_cam Posted August 23, 2014 #6 Share Posted August 23, 2014 realize too that you need to add in the taxes/fees when determining if you get a price drop. So, the best way to check is do a mock booking for a similar cabin on the same deck.
AloeVera Posted August 23, 2014 #7 Share Posted August 23, 2014 Our rep was able to upgrade us. Even though he said there was still availability but that those were allotments for travel agencies, we offered a free upgrade which was great!
