velmasue Posted September 7, 2014 #1 Share Posted September 7, 2014 We were on the Aug 23 sailing of the Fantasy with our 16 y.o. grandson. I was a little concerned about how much room we would have in the oceanview and having a little privacy for showers and getting ready. We had a great time, plenty of room in U165 OV for the 3 of us. Our grandson slept on the Pullman, I slept in the bunk below him and my husband slept in the bed by window. My husband came up with an idea to partition off the hallway when each of us took our shower and got ready for the evening so that the person getting ready could leave bathroom door open and have the hallway as a dressing room. It really worked great. I had searched on here before the cruise for ideas, but I didn't see any thing specific. We used a bungee cord, black clips, and one of those disposable $1 tablecloths. velmasue Posted September 7, 2014 Author #2 Share Posted September 7, 2014 I'm not sure these pictures are going to be able to be seen: https://scontent-a-ord.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpa1/v/t1.0-9/10302114_10204382315775163_1138780906141821623_n.jpg?oh=d90586accb411d1c98b4db11a70a8bdc&oe=5496F8DF Anyway, it worked great---we just draped the disposable tablecloth over the bungee cord (easy to find a place to put the bungee cord) and used black clips to hold it on. Worked kind of like a shower curtain.

velmasue Posted September 7, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted September 7, 2014 Very Clever! Thanks. It is usually just the two of us on a cruise so having a private dressing area has been a non-issue. I was concerned that showering and dressing would be awkward with our grandson along, but the "curtain" worked out great for us and it was so simple---that is why I wanted to share the idea. SadieN Posted September 7, 2014 #5 Share Posted September 7, 2014 We usually just open the closet door to create a dressing room.
