JohnSnowGOT Posted September 10, 2014 #26 Share Posted September 10, 2014 We are well into D+ with aspiration of being Pinnacle one day. Did our first Celebrity last year.............WOW had a great time. We usually love the Oasis class, its amazing CL, restaurant, pools and everything about it, but the celebrity ships are so calm and wonderful....Being reciprocal Elite, they only give you Elite status if you are D+, was just ok. It was the free beverage package that was so nice.......along with the great ship and better food and more attentive service culture. Still love RCi, but have two Celebrity cruises booked in the next 4 months. Somehow we feel way more calm and rested after a Celebrity cruise. Guest maddycat Posted September 11, 2014 #28 Share Posted September 11, 2014 As I said we're looking forward to something new. I posted on the Celebrity boards and several people responded that they were/are primarily RCCL cruisers and really enjoyed Celebrity. We don't care that much about some of the RCCL "bells and whistles" (flowrider, etc). We cruise more for the ports and the overall vacation. The price was right and comparable to what we had booked (now cancelled) on RCCL, so we decided to go for it. And Reflection is supposed to be an awesome ship:) I'll try to remember to post our post-cruise thoughts on Celebrity. We sailed on the Silhouette which is the sister ship of the Reflection. It was truly elegant.
Folk Singer Posted September 11, 2014 #29 Share Posted September 11, 2014 Congrats! We have enjoyed both Royal and Celebrity and for most part, the benefits we used were similar. Hope you enjoy your cruise!! That is more important than any C&A or Captain's Club benefit you might receive. :):):)
