Transatlantic in April 2006

Recommended Posts

Has anyone done a transatlantic from Ft. Lauderdale to Rome in April? I was wondering what the weather would be crossing and what it is in Rome that time of year. I am trying to research if I need to bring warmer clothes than our Florida wear in late April.

Thanks

Pat

We did a transatlantic, via Bermuda, this May, and we didn't need our warmer clothing until we got to Spain, Portugal, France and Belgium. Almost all the days at sea were nice except for one evening and the next day when we hit 35 to 40 waves and 60 MPH winds and even then the Jewel handled the seas really well although the Captain restricted all access to outside areas of the ship for that period.

We are doing the Liberty Transatlantic next year and will also be ending up in Rome so I will be interested in what others experiences are.

Have a great next cruise.

We are on the Grand Princess Transatlantic this April as well - Galveston to Rome. I followed the roll call thread for last April"s TA and after the cruise, the passengers said they had 70 degree weather most days..sounds good to me!
