philbob84 Posted October 16, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 16, 2014 Forgive the lateness on this but I just learned about the Koinsberg :P Anyway I was looking over her specs and I got to thinking 99k tons, the increased beam, and upping to passenger capacity to only 2600 folks may replicate what people liked about the smaller ships. Similar sized ships with NCL, Carnival, and RCI easily have 3000 guests. So if Holland does this right it might feel more intimate. thoughts? Krazy Kruizers Posted October 16, 2014 #6 Share Posted October 16, 2014 Until people actually start to sail on her, no one will know if she will feel intimate or not.
Rare rafinmd Posted October 16, 2014 #7 Share Posted October 16, 2014 Is this the first Holland ship that does not end with Dam? Why? Actually, it would not be the first Holland America ship not ending with dam. In the days when HAL was in the transportation business rather than the leisure business "dam" ships were passenger liners while other suffixes were used for cargo or mixed freight/cargo ships.
