Dyker Posted October 17, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 17, 2014 We are on the Grenadines Royal Clipper cruise in December (our first-ever cruise). Anyone have any advice about which currencies to bring and how easy access is to ATMs on the islands?
muskatnuss Posted October 17, 2014 #2 Share Posted October 17, 2014 (edited) Bring US Dollars. Access to ATMs - I can't say, but with US Dollars you will be on the safe side. Remember - you are in the Grenadines. You want to experiende the Caribbean as it really is. DON't expect the London Eye. Everything is laid back!!! Halleluja!!! jcl410 Posted October 17, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 17, 2014 Most of your stops use the Eastern Caribbean Dollar, which is fixed to be US$2.70. The Barbados Dollar is fixed to be US$2.00 All the islands take US dollars, although fewer places in Martinique take US$; being part of France they are all about the Euro there. The ship also uses the Euros for all purchases. (The ship is cashless. All purchases are charged to your account and it is settled at the end of the cruise.)
