Wolves2807 Posted October 20, 2014 #1 Share Posted October 20, 2014 I'm sure this is a silly question but were going on our first cruise and are very apprehensive. I always drink hit water with lemon in the morning. Will I be able it get thus or should I take my own travel kettle?. Talking If which, are the plugs US ones. Thank you in advance. If you're staying in a Junior Suite or higher, you'll have a tea kettle in your room. For any room style you can always order room service and ask for hot water and lemon. I'm a tea drinker, and they send a pot of hot water with tea bags. I'm sure you could ask for lemon. MDR should be no problem, and I bet they could bring it to you in the Windjammer as well. Enjoy your first cruise! Edited October 20, 2014 by jules815
SadmanCruiser Posted October 20, 2014 #3 Share Posted October 20, 2014 Welcome to the world of cruising. You will not be allowed to take a kettle on board. You can get hot water in the Windjammer and if you ask any server they will bring you some lemon. There is usually 2 US outlets with flat pins and a northern European round pin socket. You will need travel adaptors. Pete
Rare NorbertsNiece Posted October 20, 2014 #4 Share Posted October 20, 2014 Doesn't that depend on where the ship sails out of..... some cruises from the UK have kettles in the rooms.... at least they used to.....
Alohaaloha Posted October 20, 2014 #5 Share Posted October 20, 2014 (edited) We had a kettle on Adventure last week, and Independence in May ( both sailing out of the UK) Sent from my iPad using Forums Edited October 20, 2014 by Alohaaloha

39august Posted October 20, 2014 #13 Share Posted October 20, 2014 You can also get a cup of hot water in the Windjammer buffet, as the coffee machines also have a hot water spigot.
