'Free' CAS cruises dont pay Port fees or taxes

just FYI:

port fees (aka Non-Commissionable Fare) + taxes aren't paid by Casinos at Sea.

if it is paid, then it's paid by the land casino sponsoring the trip for their high rollers.

ie: Caesar's/total rewards for their 7Star Diamond members.

for NYC, port fees = ~$200 and taxes = ~175

funny thing right now:

ncl has a 11day cruise to the carribean for $399 for an inside room.

that $399 price includes the port fees but not the taxes.

so the breakdown should be around $200 for the cruise, 200 for port fees.

so this 'free' trip is only costing CAS $200 but looks mightly impressive to those getting a free 11day cruise.

lol
