Topo Gigio Posted November 9, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 9, 2014 Still trying to decide which ship for Nov 22/23.
kobecat Posted November 9, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 9, 2014 Have been on MSC once (Poesia Transatlantic), never again. Have been on HAL once (Maasdam Rior to Fort Lauderdale), have booked the Ryndam next year. We are Celebrity/RCL and Princess cruisers but the above gives my recommendation. joybaby Posted November 9, 2014 #3 Share Posted November 9, 2014 just sailed the Divina and loved it. I have also dialed on 2 of their other ships. Shows are outstanding as well as the atrium. Give it a try. Holland cruise lines fold up at 10 pm, and I am a senior but it is too quiet for us.
camofwilliamsburg Posted November 9, 2014 #4 Share Posted November 9, 2014 MSC Divina wins in all categories. The shows are better, well they are the best of any cruise line. The food was better on our Msc cruise compared to our most recent HAL. The Divina wins for beautiful ship, and also activities. They have more to do all day and night as compared to HAL. shrimp56 Posted November 9, 2014 #5 Share Posted November 9, 2014 Eurodam hands down. The product is just better all around.
Boytjie Posted November 9, 2014 #6 Share Posted November 9, 2014 (edited) Sailed on Eurodam three times and Divina once. Doubt I will go with MSC again. The Divina is a beautiful ship but that's where it ended. Edited November 9, 2014 by Boytjie
take us away Posted November 9, 2014 #7 Share Posted November 9, 2014 (edited) The Divinia has way too many passengers for my 'taste' as can handle about 4000 passengers. Admit we lose on some amenities but fewer lines and fewer people is worth the difference to us. HAL's service is so wonderful, we have a difficult time on other cruise lines. The Eurodam tends to have slightly better reviews, i.e. fewer negative reviews, on some web sites. Edited November 9, 2014 by take us away
Topo Gigio Posted November 18, 2014 Author #8 Share Posted November 18, 2014 Eurodam it is! since it's Thanksgiving week, and most people said that Divina can get very crowded, I wanted to avoid that. Definitely will try Divina next year, when schools are in sessions. Excited to go back to HAL after 5.5 years!
Typhoon1 Posted November 19, 2014 #9 Share Posted November 19, 2014 (edited) Avoid Divina like the plague. MSC is a poor excuse for a cruise line. We sailed Divina in February. That company couldn't do ANYTHING right. By contrast, we've sailed the Eurodam three times and would sail her again in heartbeat.
