GinLovesToCruise Posted November 14, 2014 #1 Share Posted November 14, 2014 Cruising on the RCCL Navigator January 11th 2015. Driving in from Oklahoma January 10th, looking into staying the night in Texas City instead of Galveston. Any suggestions? Only need one room for two of us. Also have planned to use Park N Cruise. It has been close to ten years since I have cruised out of Galveston. Advise appreciated! Thanks and Happy Sails! ssb Posted November 15, 2014 #2 Share Posted November 15, 2014 (edited) No reason not to do it that way. However Jan 10 motel prices in Galveston should be comparable at these if your interested Inn at Waterpark Commodore Gaidos Red Roof Quality And others Park and Cruise is excellent Easy cruise is an alternative good choice. GinLovesToCruise Posted November 15, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted November 15, 2014 Thank you for your info. I really figured staying in Texas City would be cheaper. If not, we might as well stay in Galveston. Jason Hayes EZ Cruise Sent from my iPhone using Forums
GinLovesToCruise Posted November 15, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted November 15, 2014 Oops! Wasn't finished! Jason Hayes EZ Cruise my other choice for parking. I get his email coupon. Sometimes it us just easier to walk across the street than take a shuttle. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
James in SA Posted November 15, 2014 #5 Share Posted November 15, 2014 We've always used Park n Cruise for that reason, it is easier and quicker to walk across the street. In case you are not aware, EZ Cruise has a lot right behind Park n Cruise that also offers a 'walk 2 blocks instead of the shuttle' option. You get a $15 - $20 discount off the shuttle rate. It is on the page where you reserve your parking online.
PacificMountain2012 Posted November 17, 2014 #6 Share Posted November 17, 2014 Hampton Inn in Texas City, clean and well organized, typical Hampton property, got a great rate. Park n Cruise for parking, the walks not bad. Used them both in October.
