Before you make accusations.

My comments(which are accurate) have single handedly fended off almost any negative comment toward the OP.

Just because I called them out before they did it.

I have been around here long enough to understand he minds of the loyalist.

Even the "wantoobees" that whom have barely cruised.......

A true knight in shining armor!

The plumbing issue was really a non issue and there was absolutely no odor.

And you know this how? I've experienced this before. The issue can be quite localized. And when you do encounter the problem it....STINKS.

Things may be different now but after our first cruise on Oasis on of the things that I wrote was that I thought this was the most mismanaged ship that I have been on. I am not going into the details here.

I feel grateful and maybe lucky. We were in JS, Deck 7. No plumbing problems,

clean cabin, stayed away from masses and Windjammer. I ate breakfast first morn at Johnny Rockets. Good service and OK food. Best place for lunch is Park Café but it gets busy during regular lunch hours. MDR 4 nites, Food B-; but good service!

Best food is Hot Dog House!!!!!! All kinds/everyone loved it!

Ate at Giovanni's and 150 Central Park (only because 50% off).....could live without latter. Solarium Bistro OK and Wipeout good for FF, hamburgers, et al. I called Guest Services a few times for info (not to complain) and they were responsive but only one time gave me inaccurate info about Comedy Club.

Went to Comedy Club twice/excellent!!!!!

I was there for Duplicate Bridge Cruise but DH enjoyed gym, running track, pool, sun, et al. He ate lunch at WJ but is not particularly picky or critical about food!

Overall, I did my research (as usual) picked the cabin location, and was pleasantly surprised about our experience of the cruise which was very good.

Normally, I prefer Celebrity or Princess (do not need bells & whistles).

There was some good music venues on Jazz 4 and Schooner Bar on 6.

The casino was too smokey, Period! Because we stay away from masses and go to public areas when less crowded, walk the stairs, we always enjoy our cruises. CruiseCritic gives useful info and it pays to do your research.

If I had children or a large group, I might be having a different experience but then I would also do significant detailed planning and leave little to chance!

Plumbing problems are out of my control and I would be really frustrated!

Funny you had this experience on a large ship..... I was on the Majesty (of the ****s) and had numerous issues from rude staff to **** gurgling in the shower drain on the last night. I have been told by so many people that the "larger" ships are better, but I just might have to avoid Royal until they get their **** together.

I had great dining service in the main dining room and my room steward Tuti was awesome. I didn't complain to her about the massive amounts of dust under the bed because I think that has to be done when nobody is occupying the room. We ate 4 times in main dining room Silk on deck 5. Never tried wipe out cafe, but park cafe was great. Not all service was horrible, but just not like I have experienced in the past on Liberty of The Seas & Independence of The Seas. I even think the entertainment like the events on the promenade area were better on other ships. The farewell party they had in the promenade on the last night kinda stunk. There was like nothing to it. I heard others saying the same so it wasn't just me who thought this. I still had a good time since I was watching it from the rising tide bar :D
