Guy Savoy, Lucas Carton or Taillevant?

Recommended Posts

We have only two nights in Paris and would like to do a 3 Star. Any feedback?

Tough choices,BUT whichever one you choose you had best make your reservations ASAP as generally the top places are booked months in advance.I'd go with Taillevant.

We are going to be in Paris in October and we always go to one 3 star when we are there.

This year we have chosen Tallevant. Last time we went to Le Grand Vefour. It was a wonderful meal in absolutely beautiful surroundings.

The time before we went to La Tour D'Argent and Jules Verne and out of the three, my favourite would probably be Le Grand Vefour with Jules Verne a close second.

As you only have two months to go I would definitely try to book. We always book six months in advance.

I booked Taillevent last night for a dinner in late October, no trouble at all to get through and the lady spoke English well. Just had to follow up with a fax.

Jennie.

Thanks for the feedback. After all my research, I finally decided to go with Guy Savoy based on an article I read about Patricia Wells (author of Food Lovers Guide to Paris) where she was asked what would she want for her "last meal" and she replied "Exactly the meal I had at Guy Savoy.". That sounds good enough for me! I'll just have to plan another trip that'll include Taillevent.

So many restaurants ... so little time!

We have dined at Guy Savoy. You are in for a real treat! I felt very comfortable there and loved the artichoke soup with truffles so much they brought me more!! If the same bread man is there from our visit, he's alot of fun! Just don't eat all they offer you, very filling.

Enjoy!
