Hello Silversea folk!

I have not had the pleasure of taking a Silversea

voyage yet but in the process of doing so.

Can anyone tell me if, apart from the regular

vegetarian selection on the daily menu, if there

is a separate al la carte ( off menu ) list of

alternate selections? ( my friend is vegetarian ).

Also, is the (sevruga?) caviar available for free

at lunch and dinner or is there a charge?

I also see in the brochure you can order a higher

grade caviar for a charge. Does anyone know what

brand this is and at what price?

Thank you kindly for any info.

As I recall, the only standing alternative vegetarian dish as pasta marinara, but the kitchen will make anything your friend wants within reason. (E.g., omelettes or grilled vegetables.) And with advance notice, I'm sure the kitchen could supply vegetarian lasagna, casseroles, a risotto, and other dishes that need more preparation time.

I'd suggest that your friend talk the maitre d' at the beginning of the voyage to discuss menu ideas. (I'm sure this has come up before, and the kitchen may well have a list of menu items for vegetarians and vegans.)

The Sevruga caviar is free at all times. Beluga, Osetra, and (I think) something called Golden Osetra are available at extra cost.
