Wasabi and Shanghai on NCL Getaway

Hi, again - it's 15 days before departure and we're trying to square away dining plans. We are a group of 11 in total, and are wondering about the ala carte options Wasabi and Shanghai - neither seems to allow advanced reservations. Has anyone eaten in either of these places, and if so, are they good? Can we make advanced reservations when we board or is it strictly first come first served? thanks again, cruise experts!! Happy Friday.:)

I liked Shanghai's a great deal. Wasabi was your standard sushi experience - no really innovative rolls - no cucumber rolls or rice paper rolls, just stuff like a California Roll, Philly Roll, Rainbow Roll - ho hum. The sashimi was good, but nothing that stood out as a wow. Also they were out of several types of fish listed on their menu. Don't know why. Sashimi grade fish always comes flash frozen so it's not like it had gone off.
