Oceangoer2 Posted December 12, 2014 #53 Share Posted December 12, 2014 Excuse me for my ignorance...but what are you naming and by whom?? I've been off this board for a while and I'm lost as to what you're naming...a ship or a package and how are Elite members involved?
neverbeenhere Posted December 12, 2014 #54 Share Posted December 12, 2014 It was announced that Celebrity has contracted for two new ships. Getting a jump on naming them,(helping out the Company?) Ignorance is not a good name, but nice try.:)
dkjretired Posted December 12, 2014 #55 Share Posted December 12, 2014 Now back to a little levity that some old timers will remember. Back in the 90s there was a poster on this board who detested Celebrity and in particular the Century. He posted that all the Celebrity ships were named after American Cars. Ironically, celebrity has expanded it to foreign cars but it continues.

dkjretired Posted December 12, 2014 #57 Share Posted December 12, 2014 Or is the reverse really the truth? Some of the cars were around before Celebrity existed, I had a Buick Century in the 80s.

Wayneair Posted December 14, 2014 Author #63 Share Posted December 14, 2014 Celebrity Hemisphere If they are going for something in keeping with the celestial theme - then I'd go for Aurora and Corona :) Sent from my iPhone using Forums I'm really liking these, namely Hemisphere and Aurora. At least Aurora cannot be shorten. Hemisphere will likely be called Hemi.

Artemis Posted December 15, 2014 #65 Share Posted December 15, 2014 (edited) Thanks, Wayneiair, this is fun! Love Lauren and John's contributions! Apogee Meridian Pinnacle Crescendo (above terms are used in astronomy) Also like Seabourn Pearl's classically-inspired ideas: Athena and Aphrodite Aegean and Adriatic Iliad and Odyssey ------------ From the thesaurus on "edge," here are two V possibilities: Vantage Vanguard But I get the point that alliteration is sometimes confusing, to-wit: Equinox and Eclipse, Sent from my iPad using Cruise Critic Forums mobile app Edited December 15, 2014 by Artemis
