mcarney Posted December 25, 2014 #1 Share Posted December 25, 2014 My dad and I are sailing on the Fascination January 3rd ... We are booked in cabin U96 which is one of those sideways interior cabins ... Has anyone stayed in one of these cabins and/or have any pictures of the layout? I have searched the Internet and cannot find anything.... TIA Marianne
Luluwa Posted December 25, 2014 #2 Share Posted December 25, 2014 Haven't sailed in one but have been in them and seen in them. You'll have a great time Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
DarthGrady Posted December 25, 2014 #3 Share Posted December 25, 2014 I had one on Paradise several years ago, U99 as I recall. They are pretty much the same as the other interior rooms. The door is on the long wall, so the furniture in the room may be placed differently than a standard cabin. I don't have a picture of the room unfortunately, but there weren't any problems with it. MUDBALL Posted December 25, 2014 #4 Share Posted December 25, 2014 (edited) I have been in them several times. They are great if you want twin beds not so good for a king bed. SadieN Posted December 25, 2014 #5 Share Posted December 25, 2014 When you enter there's no hallway, it's just a big rectangle. Some of those have a pole in the middle.
N2Mischief Posted December 25, 2014 #6 Share Posted December 25, 2014 We had one once, I can't remember what ship. We had the darned pole in the middle of the room and when the bed was made into a king, one person couldn't get out of bed without either crawling over the other person or exiting the foot of the bed. I think had the bed been separated it would have been fine. Also the room we had backed up to a very busy elevator shaft. We heard the elevator go up and down all night and a lot of clanking and pinging. I think in most of the rooms this wouldn't be an issue and after the first night we got used to it so it really wasn't a big deal.
