Roddo Posted January 1, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 1, 2015 We are going on our first cruise in April (on the Celebrity Silhouette) and wondered if anyone had an idea of the price we will pay for drinks onboard (Beer, Wine, Soft Drinks, Coffees etc.) This would help us to decide whether or not to go for the drinks package. Thanks.
cruzzzinma Posted January 1, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 1, 2015 Here is a spreadsheet someone built to price out drinks and see if the beverage packages are worthwhile based on expected consumption. Celebrity Drink PKG Selector 2014.xls

Fmitchy Posted January 8, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 8, 2015 Question? Would it be fair to say that most of the Ships passengers are on The Classic Beverage package because It seems like Celebrity runs the pro-Mo Year round? Anyone now how much the pool side basic Frozen Drinks Run? We cannot leave Chicago this weekend and not be reminded what Frozen Tastes like ! morbihan Posted January 8, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 8, 2015 Last year we went on our first cruise on the Silhouette. As we had no idea of the things we could receive we received nowt. Thanks cookie. So we spent a lot of money on drinks and we didn't drink much. Certainly will this time around when we travel again as we have the 123. Easy to spend 20 dollars just on two appero's
vizgal Posted January 8, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 8, 2015 I don't believe celebrity runs the promo 'year-round'. We made a last minute decision to book a cruise in December and was looking at anytime in Jan or Feb. Well, the 123 go promo was available, but only on sailings from Feb forward. However, at that time, the price per person was HIGHER than the Jan sailing dates which did not fall under the promo. So, I ran the numbers accounting for the promo and I found that Feb promo sailing actually cost WAY MORE then sailing on a non-promo date and paying for the drink packages ourselves. This might not always be the case but it sure was for us. Just an FYI.
