CRocks Posted January 11, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 11, 2015 Looking at a 15 day Hawaii cruise next Jan. I'm sailing out of Long Bch next week and I've lived in CA so I know what to expect in SoCal this time of year. I'm wonderin bout the weather onboard for the 4 days to Hawaii + 4 days back. Anyone do this crossing that time of year? THANX!
love my grandkids Posted January 11, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 11, 2015 We did it last month so think it qualifies. Didnt find it to be swimming weather but wore shorts and T shirt almost all the time.
SadieN Posted January 11, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 11, 2015 (edited) It's warmer as you get closer to Hawaii. Prepare for some rough seas as you go across the Alaskan current. In October the ship rolled a bit but not too much. Mom and Sis were on in December. Their crossing was heavier than ours. There is nothing blocking the current and seas. Whatever happens up in the Bering Sea and the PNW will affect you. Edited January 11, 2015 by SadieN
