rbrugler Posted January 15, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 15, 2015 In Belize it was definately the Mayan ruins that have El Capitan. It was amazing seeing the country on the drive there, and the ruins were incredible. In Roatan, we really liked the beach that included the tour through where the monkeys and birds were. I am terrible at remembering exact names.

albertamom Posted January 15, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 15, 2015 We love Maya Key in Roatan. We're going for the second time next month. It's a short 5'ish minute boat ride from the pier. The snorkeling is great, there is a swimming pool, a nice included lunch, huge gift shop, clean bathrooms, replicas of Mayan ruins, animal rescue centre (zoo), and on and on. We have a large group aged 14-75, and there will be something there for everyone to enjoy. :D

justrache Posted January 16, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 16, 2015 Tabbayana Beach in Roatan....we just did the beach/lunch option and brought our own snorkel gear...you didn't need to have a guide as the gorgeous reef was right off the beach. Freespir8 Posted January 16, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 16, 2015 In Belize we did an excursion not associated with the ship that was called Shark/Ray Alley.... Amazing experience. Google it and it gives all the info on snorkeling with the sharks (nurse) and Sting Rays...the best experience on an excursion ever....and it included lunch!
