serene56 Posted January 21, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 21, 2015 No need to arrive at the pier at 10am to wait. Go later to avoid sitting around waiting. (I do not understand why people with the FTTF do this- kinda defeats the purpose of no waiting)
DKF97 Posted January 21, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 21, 2015 If you have a tender port, just head down to guest services and let them know you are ready to leave the ship and they will walk you right to a waiting tender. We LOVED this and we never saw instructions on how to use the tender perk anywhere in the cabin.
lesters Posted January 21, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 21, 2015 Persistence has Ppaid off. Got F2F just now. OK Please give me ALL the info regarding my perks with this purchase please:D So happy for you! It gives me hope that there is a chance of snagging one before our cruise on the Magic in April. I check multiple times a day ;) We had FTTF on our last cruise out of LA and loved it. Probably the top reason to get it was the ability to by-pass the giant lines at guest services when you had a question. That and the priority tender as Cabo was a tender port. We have Grand Cayman as a port on our April cruise and so I really really really am hoping they release some more FTTF and I am lucky enough to be online to grab one! Go later to avoid sitting around waiting.(I do not understand why people with the FTTF do this- kinda defeats the purpose of no waiting) And I don't understand why people with FTTF would not get there early. I may have to wait a little but i am either waiting and the terminal or in my hotel room. Last year we arrived early with another couple who did not have FTTF and they boarded an hour after we did, that to me is a benefit.
nursemommy7578 Posted January 21, 2015 #7 Share Posted January 21, 2015 I've heard people say that this doesnt happen on all ships...but both times i've had FTTF it was not just for tender ports!! Both times they had an elevator reserved and I was able to hop on after showing my card!! I love being able to head straight to our cabin as well!! I have this for the first leg of our B2B...but cancelled for the 2nd leg. Enjoy!!

I'd rather be waiting at the port to be one of the first on the ship. We had FttF for the Breeze, and I have it for both cruises this year. After that, I might finally hit Platinum, and won't have to do it any more. Since Carnival changed their program, what should have been my Platinum cruise is now just number 10. ccartman2 Posted January 21, 2015 #9 Share Posted January 21, 2015 Glad to hear it. I've been trying to get it checking multiple times daily, so good to hear there is still a chance. Normally I wouldn't worry about it, but my daughter will board with my parents as a platinum cruiser, so she will still be ahead of us and I would like the cabin ready in case I need to get our now 18 month old down for a nap. Of course I could deal with it either way, but it is well worth the $50 for me, without a tender port on our schedule.
shanejay1 Posted January 21, 2015 #10 Share Posted January 21, 2015 Thank you, your post reminded me to check!! I too just got F2F for our cruise on the Magic in 33 days :) Traveling with 2 children it will be nice to drop our stuff off right away in our room and of course all the other perks. I'm either going to wait at the airport or in the hotel room or in the cruise terminal so what's the matter with waiting somewhere with excitement :D For those of you trying to get FTTF, definitely keep checking. DH and I took turns checking every few hours for 2 weeks. He checked at 8 pm one Friday night and nothing, I checked at 10 and there were 10 available! By the next morning we checked for fun and they were all gone!

Grand Cayman is the one tender port where FTTF isn't necessary. The tenders are huge and plentiful and the ride is under 5 minutes. Still, I get FTTF everytime. It's great! We LOVED this and we never saw instructions on how to use the tender perk anywhere in the cabin. We had FTTF on our Pride cruise and they actually printed instructions for the 1st tender port. Had seating & a table reserved in the Atrium for us to wait along with Platinum & Diamond members. It was nice being on the first tender off the ship! YorN Posted January 21, 2015 #16 Share Posted January 21, 2015 Looks like they're getting more daring than 15 in a set.:D:rolleyes: I believe they differ it for some cruises. I know for my recent Valor San Juan cruise they started with 10 and added another 20 about a month from sailing.

I know for my recent Valor San Juan cruise they started with 10 and added another 20 about a month from sailing. Either that or there were more than ten available at one time and they happened to sell very quickly, as you can assume from Yellowbird75's review from before. We all know they don't limit it based on the number of Platinum/Diamond passengers. :D Y'all have a second aye! Totally agree. Why wouldn't you show up early? Beach_gal Posted January 21, 2015 #20 Share Posted January 21, 2015 Disembarkation - one area that I least expected it to come in handy. We were told to meet in the library at 9 am to disembark. As we walked to the library this past Monday morning, we noticed a pretty long line snaking around the atrium. We weren't even in the library 2 minutes when someone came for us and escorted us straight to the gangway. That alone was worth the $$$

cajunpowercruiser Posted January 22, 2015 Author #23 Share Posted January 22, 2015 Thanks for the responses... I hope there are more to come. Unlike what Carnival may provide... "real" experiences are making the difference. I had been checking daily every two waking hours and nothing. I had almost just given up. Then of course after purchase i second guessed myself asking is it worth the money??? The comments already received have helped assure me that I made the right decision. I will make this a Magical experience for my bride of 21 years. We will be celebrating our anniversary midway through the cruise. These message boards have become a daily ritual. I thank you all:)
Rare Cruisegirl6 Posted January 22, 2015 #24 Share Posted January 22, 2015 My PVP told me they can sell up to 50, when I booked the Valor last week he said they had a few left so we got them. We always show up at the pier early and get on the ship fast, but we like to have FTTF for because our rooms are ready and we can drop off our carry on luggage, the Guest Services area has a separate line and for FTTF and you get priority and if you book specialty restaurants which we do, we get first priority then disembarkation we can choose early or late but if we choose early we one of the first off the ship. Its worth $50, Im paying for the cruise whats another $50 to have those benefits its so worth it.
RTRMom Posted January 27, 2015 #25 Share Posted January 27, 2015 Following up to my post earlier....they had it available just now for my cruise. I snatched it up right away as it only said two available. I had just looked earlier this morning and it said sold out. :)
