ilovetotravel1977 Posted January 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2015 When we visit GC on April 16th, are we able to pick up a tender ticket the day before for our private excursion? If so, when do they usually post them on the ship for reserving? Our pick up time is 8:45am and we dock at 8am.
cesaravelez Posted January 22, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2015 They not using tickets any more, you just go down to the exit and stand on line to jump in to the tender
ilovetotravel1977 Posted January 22, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted January 22, 2015 Do you remember if it took a long time to get ashore? What time should we start to line up if we want to be one of the first boats to go?
saxgirl84 Posted January 22, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 22, 2015 I'm not sure which ship you'll be on, but last week on the Epic, they DID have tender tickets, you could reserve your tickets starting day one, there was a section on the TV in your cabin, I had an excursion through the ship, so I didn't need to reserve one, but it was an option beginning at 8am. Aaly Posted January 22, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 22, 2015 I read in a different post that said you reserve your tender on the tv. I leave this Sunday and we stop at GC in exactly one week. I can report back for you! Sent from my iPad using Forums
ilovetotravel1977 Posted January 22, 2015 Author #6 Share Posted January 22, 2015 We are sailing the Epic as well. That would be great if you could report back! I just don't want to miss our excursion!
ilovetotravel1977 Posted January 22, 2015 Author #7 Share Posted January 22, 2015 If you could also report how organized it is, meaning, if we have ticket #1, let's say...do they call out "Tender #1 tickets!" and we march past everyone and go to the front of the line? Or if there is a separate line for "advance ticket holders" type of thing... And I assume it is first come-first served for the tenders going back to the ship? cesaravelez Posted January 22, 2015 #8 Share Posted January 22, 2015 Aaly When you have an excursion booked,on the ticket for your excursions you will find a meeting time and location and tender departing time, after everyone meet , everyone will depart on the same tender just on time before your excursions. NCL is very good when arranging all this ;-) have fun
ilovetotravel1977 Posted January 22, 2015 Author #9 Share Posted January 22, 2015 We booked a private excursion, not through NCL.
cesaravelez Posted January 22, 2015 #10 Share Posted January 22, 2015 Hi guys I allways get up a few hours before getting to a complete stop and enjoy breakfast and then go and stand on line,it can get busy sometimes :-)
cesaravelez Posted January 22, 2015 #11 Share Posted January 22, 2015 You dont wait long,it goes pretty fast, once a tender leaves, another one is lined for you to get on board
Aaly Posted January 22, 2015 #12 Share Posted January 22, 2015 I also booked my excursion outside of NCL so I will not be getting their tender pass, hence why I have to do it myself. Also if you look at the current dailies, I just noticed that they ask you to sign up for your tenders a day before GC if you haven't already. So if you're like the many people who save $$ and book excursions on your own, you must sign up for your tender. cesaravelez Posted January 22, 2015 #13 Share Posted January 22, 2015 Remember If you have an excursion booked with NCL YOU DONT HAVE TO STAND ON LINE,you go to the excursions meeting place at the time posted on your excursion ticket.is usually in the theater. Budget Queen Posted January 22, 2015 #18 Share Posted January 22, 2015 there can be long lines for tenders, no way to predict. So, anyone with needing to get there early is well advised to reserve for the first available tender in advance- if possible- THEN, be up and in the access area at least 30 minutes prior to the posted time. I've been going to Cayman for years, including 4 times last year.
janpo Posted January 22, 2015 #19 Share Posted January 22, 2015 On the sky last week no tender tickets unless you went after 10 am.
