bladerunner6 Posted January 31, 2015 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2015 I got some decent quotes on an upcoming cruise and am temped to book but we are sailing tomorrow. Is there a way to book now to get the cabin we want but still get a future cruise credit from the program they offer onboard? Thanks.
canadarocks Posted January 31, 2015 #2 Share Posted January 31, 2015 My T.A. told me that she would have to cancel the original booking and then rebook, but that it's not a problem.
RocketMan275 Posted January 31, 2015 #3 Share Posted January 31, 2015 You could book it tomorrow after boarding and then transfer it to the TA.
skrodle Posted January 31, 2015 #4 Share Posted January 31, 2015 You could book it tomorrow after boarding and then transfer it to the TA. yes, book with the Future cruise consultant on board and then transfer to your TA later. They can sometimes get you better than advertised deals and if you work with a discount TA they can still do a takeover
Rare Coral Posted January 31, 2015 #5 Share Posted January 31, 2015 Have your agent "hold" the cabin for a few days and get the Booking # - you do not need to put a deposit down to hold a cabin. Then when on the ship buy the FCC and have it applied to that booking number.
paul929207 Posted January 31, 2015 #6 Share Posted January 31, 2015 I have booked on board several times and then transferred the booking to a TA. I got about 15% discount from the TA each time.

Loonbeam Posted January 31, 2015 #8 Share Posted January 31, 2015 Only note is depending on length of cruise might be too long for a hold (depending on when the FCC is processed on board).
MCC retired Posted January 31, 2015 #9 Share Posted January 31, 2015 Book onboard or purchase FCC then transfer that booking to the TA that gives you their discounted price , when you get home . Sent from my iPad using Forums mobile app
Rare Coral Posted January 31, 2015 #10 Share Posted January 31, 2015 Only note is depending on length of cruise might be too long for a hold (depending on when the FCC is processed on board). They can meet with the Future Cruise person and put the deposit down right away on the cruise. Same as booking a cruise when on the ship. The only difference is that there is already a hold. The future cruise person can assign it to the current TA on record.
