Non-Beach question

We live on the Gulf of Mexico with it's beautiful white sand beaches. Luckily we can go to the beach every day if we want.

 

What else do you recommend to do in Cozumel?

 

Should we book a tour through the ship or is it safe to walk off the ship and book with a tour that is at the port?

We are doing the Cozumel Bar Hop on our cruise in a couple weeks. It goes over to the "wild side" which is east side of island. Ive been to Coz many many times and haven't been over there in years. It looks fun. Google them. They're on trip advisor too.

What about the Mayan ruins--I believe Tulum is nearby. You might want to book in advance or at least know what you want, but I bet you can probably get something when you get off the ship. (I'm a planner so the thought of that makes me very nervous!! :eek: ).

Tulum requires that long ferry ride to the mainland. Watch your times if booking independently.
