Noordam unusual VB cabin

We have been assigned cabin #4164 on deck 4 of the Noordam. It is adjacent to some stairs and it appears that the deck outside the stairs is split between us and the cabin just aft of us. Is anyone familiar with this cabin. We think the larger deck is a plus, but not sure about the stairs and the room (perhaps a laundry and/or service area?). Might we incur some noise/sleepless mornings?

And I loved it! Your balcony is twice as large as the others. I never noticed any additional noise or smells the cruise we were on and we thoroughly enjoyed it!

Yes, 4164 and 4166 on the Vista ships have 18 ft wide balconies. The stairs are marked as crew and emergency use only (although some passengers ignore the sign) so you won't get noise from there.

There are some good pictures of the balcony on a site which has recently be "disallowed" by CC management :mad: so I can't direct you there or post a link here, but if you search for posts mentioning 4164 you might be able to find the name of the site.
