ajee622 Posted February 20, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2015 We are doing beach day at st. Martin Megan's bay. Horseback riding in Antigua. History behind the walls walking tour in Puerto Rico. I've read the reviews. Just looking for someone who's done there recently. Also are those ports easy to get a cheap beer at??
10Jan54 Posted February 20, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2015 We are doing beach day at st. Martin Megan's bay. Horseback riding in Antigua. History behind the walls walking tour in Puerto Rico. I've read the reviews. Just looking for someone who's done there recently. Also are those ports easy to get a cheap beer at?? Just did those 3 ports in November. Megans Bay we just took our own cab there and back. Nice beach with a good beach bar. I don't think the drinks were to expensive. Didn't do the horseback riding but did look into it. we found someone to drive us all around and make some stops that we wanted to see. Puerto Rico the forts and Old San Juan are right there at the peir. We did our own walking tour and enjoyed it very much. There is a brewery right near there also. Nice size sampler. Have fun! ajee622 Posted February 20, 2015 Author #3 Share Posted February 20, 2015 Forgot to mention. I have wife and 10 year old daughter with me. Wife isn't a huge fan of exploring on our own. Especially with daughter. I don't mind paying for the excursions. We did the dream 2 years ago and remember at mohogany bay they had all these shops right when you got off and they sold cheap beers there. Are these ports similar?? CheckersMidwest Posted February 20, 2015 #4 Share Posted February 20, 2015 I assume you mean St Thomas.....Megan's Bay is there, not St Martin. :)

blue_water Posted February 21, 2015 #7 Share Posted February 21, 2015 Your choices are fine! These ports are more "developed" than Roatan, but you can find $3 beers at the vendor market in Charlotte Amalie on St Thomas, and 2 for 1 specials at the Greenhouse and other places. Sit back and enjoy!:)

It's part of the US, people are fabulously bilingual, it's an amazing place. The forts are terrific on your own. (and so cheap!) Biggest issue for us? We didn't bring enough water. But the forts sell water, so there you go.
