carmel40 Posted March 1, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 1, 2015 Hi, we are booked on Oriana, set to sail 17th March, We have booked an early saver around 8 weeks ago, and are still waiting on our cabin to be allocated. Does anyone know when this should be? Thanks in advance.
richleeds Posted March 1, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 1, 2015 No set date of X amount of days before sailing but should be anytime now.
themanwithahat Posted March 1, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 1, 2015 Indeed, but seems to be a couple of weeks or so in practice, though not guaranteed obviously. Is likely to vary depending on how full the cruise is - if they push late deals out it may change.
joeholiday2 Posted March 1, 2015 #4 Share Posted March 1, 2015 We are 3 weeks away from departing, heard nothing yet. Do they email to say they have allocated or should I be checking CP every day?
themanwithahat Posted March 1, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 1, 2015 From memory they email you. I shouldn't worry about it too much, as long as your paperwork is in order, you can get on the travel personaliser and so on, should be no problem. themanwithahat Posted March 1, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 1, 2015 Have just checked. I got emailed a PDF "Cabin Allocation AZURA <ref>" which gives cabin, room details, final invoice etc. It was emailed me on 7th October 2014 for a cruise departing on 25th October 2014. Obviously this was just this one, but I've got the impression that this is about normal, so I would expect yours RSN - maybe contact P&O if you get nothing 7 days beforehand ? themanwithahat Posted March 1, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 1, 2015 Incidentally you might want to keep half an eye on your spam folder - sometimes messages get put in there.
the english lady Posted March 1, 2015 #9 Share Posted March 1, 2015 We are 3 weeks away from departing, heard nothing yet. Do they email to say they have allocated or should I be checking CP every day? I would not bank on them sending out an email. Sometimes they do and sometimes they don't. I would just keep on checking your CP.

wilson2579 Posted March 3, 2015 #15 Share Posted March 3, 2015 I certainly am :D Was these allocations for a saver fare, as I am sailing in less than 4 weeks but don't expect my cabin number until 2 weeks before.

I believe mine is technically classed as an early saver deal which is different to a saver

I will just have to be a bit patient.:D Enjoy your cruise.

Yes, I have done 2 saver cruises and been right at the front, so expecting my cabin at the end of March to be in a similar position.
