lakings39 Posted March 12, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 12, 2015 Are you able to use your Premium Alcohol Package for wine by the glass and how much are the tapas? Does anyone have a menu? Yes, you can use your package for wine by the glass at Vintages. But it's only valid on the full-size pours and not on the smaller 2oz pours. rummenroman Posted March 12, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 12, 2015 Are you able to use your Premium Alcohol Package for wine by the glass and how much are the tapas? Does anyone have a menu? Your premium package will be a credit of $12 towards any glass of wine. (My price point might be off) Anything under that is free, anything over that you will need to pay the difference + gratuity. EviesCruisin Posted March 13, 2015 #6 Share Posted March 13, 2015 Does Vintages on Freedom now offer the tapas? Is there a charge or included with the fare price (if you are drinking wine at Vintages)?

critterchick Posted March 13, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 13, 2015 Not every ship has tapas at Vintages - Serenade doesn't - and my understanding is that the menu Norbert's Niece posted isn't offered on Oasis since her drydock.

garnetpalmetto Posted September 13, 2015 #15 Share Posted September 13, 2015 (edited) So the Serenade has a Vintages but does not offer a tapas menu? Correct. Vintages is "just" a wine bar on Serenade. They'll do programs/tastings and IIRC there may be some little bites to be had then but tapas aren't usually offered. Tweety63 Posted September 13, 2015 #16 Share Posted September 13, 2015 We were on the Oasis in July and I can confirm Vintages offers all those delicious tapas and the atmosphere is quite wonderful too😊
Magicat Posted September 13, 2015 #17 Share Posted September 13, 2015 Thanks for the responses. We enjoyed them on the Oasis and were hoping that they would be offered on our Serenade cruise. Oh well, guess we will need to find somewhere else to nibble at. LOL
docd Posted September 13, 2015 #18 Share Posted September 13, 2015 I sailed on the Freedom November 2014 and they would not honor my Premium drink package at Vintages. Seems like I might be in the minority though.

Seems like I might be in the minority though. I would have taken it up with the Food & Beverage Manager. Even if Vintages did not have any glasses of wine for less than $12, they should have only charged you the difference for glasses that exceeded $12. However, if you were trying to get a wine flight or glasses less than 5oz, then those are not covered by the package at all. Big_G Posted September 14, 2015 #20 Share Posted September 14, 2015 As far as we know, the a la carte tapas menu posted on this thread was only offered on Allure and Oasis. We have not found it on any other class although we haven't sailed Quantum Class yet. Voyager and Freedom Classes offered a cheese and olive plate that was complementary. Enjoy. :)
TheGaDawgFan Posted September 14, 2015 #22 Share Posted September 14, 2015 I sailed on the Freedom November 2014 and they would not honor my Premium drink package at Vintages. Seems like I might be in the minority though. We had the same problem in April 2014. They wouldn't let us pay the difference. And that's probably why it was almost always empty. I hope they know the policy now since we'll be back on the Freedom soon.

Merion_Mom Posted September 14, 2015 #24 Share Posted September 14, 2015 Or the Park Cafe. Not that many ships have a Park Café. Park Café does not begin to have the variety that the WJ has at dinner. There is (almost) always a large display of antipasti and cheese and other such appetizer-like foods. :)
garnetpalmetto Posted September 14, 2015 #25 Share Posted September 14, 2015 Considering they were talking specifically about Serenade and she does have one, I thought it was appropriate. Besides, take one of their sandwiches, deconstruct it, and voila - tapas. :D
