tikkas Posted March 22, 2015 #1 Share Posted March 22, 2015 We're due to embark on the Spirit from Barcelona in four days, and I'm lost as to what clothing to pack, especially for the Canaries, Casablanca and Funchal. Is it short sleeves and shorts, or layers, or warm jackets? I was also wondering whether the outside seating on the ship was pleasant, or just too cool at the moment. chicaguapa Posted March 22, 2015 #2 Share Posted March 22, 2015 We're off in a couple of weeks and are packing jeans and t-shirts for most places with maybe shorts in Lanzarote and Tenerife, perhaps Madeira. With a cardigan or light jacket for if it's a bit cooler. HTH
Single Cruiser Posted March 22, 2015 #3 Share Posted March 22, 2015 (edited) Just got back last week. Apart from the last two days it was wall-wall sunshine and temps 17-22C. I sat outside and was in shorts every day. Edited March 22, 2015 by Single Cruiser

thiswillbeoursecondcruise Posted March 25, 2015 #5 Share Posted March 25, 2015 We got back yesterday....wished I hadn't brought so many pairs of shorts with me. Only really had about two days of good sunshine, so it was a bit chilly out there on deck!

Wow, you were unlucky. We had wall-wall sunshine except the last cpl days from Malaga to Barcelona..
hawkeyetlse Posted March 25, 2015 #7 Share Posted March 25, 2015 If you are doing excursions, in particular Mount Teide in Tenerife, I would pack some warm clothes. Nothing extreme, but don't go in only shorts and short sleeves. It may still be snowing up there. And Lanzarote tends to be very windy.
thiswillbeoursecondcruise Posted March 25, 2015 #8 Share Posted March 25, 2015 (edited) Careful about booking up for Mount Teide. Quite a few booked up for an excursion a few days ago & were unable to go up there due to it snowing! tikkas Posted April 5, 2015 Author #9 Share Posted April 5, 2015 We just left the ship today, and we also had sunshine most days, particularly in the Atlantic and heat in the Canaries. Sea was (a bit) rough some days. We had absolutely impenetrable fog on the leg between Lanzarote and Malaga, lasting all day.
